Their "backyard" has a unique combination of ecosystems. Highly recommend a tour with Nancy and Smoky! Feels like you are in the wilderness, but with all the comforts of home. We stayed in the lodge. Comfortable bed with a beautiful quilt made by Nancy. Ask for a look at her quilting room. (She also does quilting retreats at the lodge... More

A road in the near-wilderness leads to a beautifully situated log house/cabin getaway, so quiet, and yet, waiting for the eventual appearance of a bear, mountain lion, wolf, or eagle. Helps to have Smoky, the Newfy outside standing guard! Inside a colorful homemade quilt with Smoky Bear on it graces a comfy bed in a large, clean, cozy, room. A... More

I stayed a week with family in the large four bedroom cabin. It was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had all the cooking tools one could want and the whole place was spotless. We used the washer and dryer, and the hosts provided the laundry soap. I especially liked that the hosts loaned us bear spray (we hiked alot in... More

My husband and I were planning our vacation to Glacier National Park for the first time. We were very nervous to book a cabin in another state before being able to check it out. I read the reviews on several locations and it came down to Smoky Bear Ranch and one other location. We were so pleasantly surprised with our... More

We spent three nights in the Apgar Suite at the Smokey Bear B&B and would recommend it. Our room had plenty of space and Scott and Nancy were good hosts. They love the area and can make good recommendatuons on things to do and places to visit, especially as it relates to hiking in Glacier NP. The provide the bear... More

What a wonderful experience! Our three nights at "Smoky Bear Ranch" were completely enjoyable. We elected to stay out of the "touristy" lodging facilities and this B&B exceeded our expectations in every way. "Smoky", the 150 lb Newfoundland "puppy" greated us. Our host welcomed us by telling us about the area surronding the ranch and also issued us "Bear Spray"... More

We round the cabin to be spotless and beautiful but the owners had a terrible personality for running a B&B. When my son asked him about the internet signal being weak his response was the computer was a piece of crap and he should buy a new one. At the end of the week they charged us more accusing us... We stayed at the Smoky Bear Ranch B&B for four nights in September 2008, and were very disappointed. This B&B could be a great place: the location is outstanding (not too far away from the National Park entrance at West Glacier, but secluded from the railroad). However the rooms in the main building are in need of renovation. In addition,... More

My family of four spent five nights at Smoky Bear Ranch while we toured Glacier National Park. We stayed in the Apgar Suite upstairs, which has two beds and some extra room, perfect for our family. Scott & Nancy were friendly and helpful in planning park visits. Breakfast was fantastic every morning, and evenings spent on the front porch enjoying... More

We stayed 2 nights at Smoky Bear Ranch and had a wonderful experience. Our host/hostess were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The accomodations were super clean, charming and comfortable-the homemade furniture and quilts made it so cozy. The breakfasts we had both days were fantastic gourmet delights and very filling. We even got to see a bear... More
