A large group from Cleveland stayed at Big Horn Condos. Some condos were ok and many others a bit lacking when compared to other places we have visited. Let's start with the positive. I stayed a week in Unit 32 right across the street from the poma lift. ski in ski out - no doubt. The condo layout was great.... More

The skiing part of our vacation was great, but the return home to the condo each day was a serious dissappointment. Like many other reviewers, we found that our condo had not been updated in about 20 years. More importantly, so many things were broken, like the garage door, the fireplace screen, the coffee table, the latch on the back... More

Our family of 5 stayed in a 3 bedroom, 3 bath Big Horn condo at Big Sky over the last weekend in August. We were there for a dirt bike race. This condo was very spacious and tastefully decorated. It was large enough for a bigger group (like another couple or small family). Location is also great. We rented it... More

A few friends and I rented a condo for a long weekend and had an overall positive experience at Big Horn. PROS: 1. Location - we were steps away from the poma lift which, once you get to the top, leads you to a quick run down to the base of the main mountain. It's also within walking distance of... More

Our stay was a mixed bag with great skiing but sub-par accommodations. These condos are privately owned so unless you rent a unit you are familiar with you risk being put in a 'dog' of a unit as we were. We stayed in unit 50 for a week but it seemed longer. The bed spread was covered with dog hair,... More

Yes, each unit is individually owned and furnishings and amenities between units will vary. For example, my unit has 4 HDTV's, a computer, WiFi, Playstation 3 and gets very good reviews. Most units are rented through the resort. It sounds like that's what your group did. About 10 units plus or minus rent directly from the owner. I offer two... More

This is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo and there were 6 adults. The unit is tired and worn- all furniture, appliances, tableware, and electronics are very dated. Our king sized bed had collapsed in the middle. Upon examination, we found that the frame had broken and they had tried to fix it by inserting a screw driver in place... More

Just a reminder that each unit is individually owned. Many owners have very nice furnishings, WiFi, HDTVs, etc. I own unit 49 and I get excellent reviews. You might have better luck next time by doing rental-by-owner. You’ll be able to see photos of the exact unit you will be getting as well as the amenities list. It sounds like... More

Last February we stayed 7 nights at Big Horn #29. We were with a group of friends and everyone was very well accommodated in this large condo; Big Horn 29 www.vrbo.com/186485 We were there to ski, but also took advantage of a day drive into Yellowstone National Park. It was great, we spotted a lot of buffalo and got some... More

We spent 5 nights over New Years (Monday-Saturday) at Big Horn and loved it. We booked through Big Sky's central reservations in ealy December, we were initally looking at smaller options, but they offered a special rate for the Big Horn condos, early/late season pricing during the peak holiday season. The deal amounted to 40% off holiday rates. Pros- Size,... More

We had a great stay at Big Horn! I will say that it wasn't the nicest, fanciest place we've ever stayed, but it had everything we needed and the price was right. My wife and I are skiers. We don't "Apres Ski", we don't go to clubs, we eat at pizza/ hamburger restarants (not 5-star). Big Horn was perfect! we... More

We had 15 in our group, and were split between 3 units. The previous reviewer is correct - these units were built in 1996, and haven't been updated since then; at least ours appeared that way. Plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels, and the kitchen was the best-stocked in kitchen wear that I've seen, even if the toaster only... More

I just want to comment that each Big Horn is individually owned. That means depending on which unit you booked, you could be in a unit that hasn't been updated in a while (as you noted) or one that has been upgraded with 4 star amenities. You might have better luck getting an updated unit if you searched the vacation... More
