This hotel is a favorite of ours. Friendly staff, clean property, comfortable beds and a great breakfast. The indoor pool is a great feature with the snow and cold weather. The Wi-Fi is always secure and is quick and easy to use.

The family hit the road with no reservations and went to Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa. Stayed at Kirksville, MO. This was a very nice Holiday Inn Express. We were so ready to stop when we hit Kirksville. We knew that we would stay at the Holiday Inn Express we are normally always pleased with this chain of hotels.

The room was very clean, the price was fair, the staff was friendly, the free breakfast was good. I have stayed in some of the other hotels in the area when visiting Truman State, and this is by far the best.

You are not going to find a Waldorf-Astoria in Kirksville, but this small town's Holiday Inn Express does offer a cozy stay. This hotel is just OK. I stayed in a King Room for a business trip. The room was larger than expected with a small sitting area. The part I did not care for was that the sink was not included in the bathroom itself. Also, the tile floor in the bathroom and entry was very sticky and stained my socks.... More

Be careful and double check your reservation. Booked a room on their website but when arived there were not any rooms available. They had an email and did not use it to notify. Although polite this should not have happened.

From the highway this hotel looks just fine. Get up close and you will find it is old and in need of repairs/updates. The grounds are in poor condition.
