I am so sorry no one responded to you in a timely fashion. Especially as HHonors Gold member. It is my understanding that the request came though as an international guest wishing to use a credit card to pay for an event, that may have rasied a red flag as we do minimal international business and quite often credit card...
This hotel is beautiful. They have not overstated how wonderful the restoration is --- it's like taking a time machine back to the hey-days of Kansas City. Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Good location. Cons: Room price. No free in-room Internet access. $18 a day to park your car. Expensive food and drink (go around the corner for MANY restaurants and bars at reasonable prices.
