Visited the Ambassador twice - After a long flight its a nice place to relax and have a drink. The bar is excellent, the restaurant is OK - could use some work but not bad at all. Fantastic rooms, great service. Near the power and light district but thats over rated anyway.

We had the good fortune of staying at the Ambassador in KC. When I made the reservations the staff was very helpful. We ended up staying upon our arrival and upon our return we choose to stay again. The room we originally wanted upon our return was not available but the staff worked hard to make the needed arrangements and... More

Best description of this hotel is that you don't feel like you are in KC. Cool lobby, cool reception desk, cool bar, cool staff, cool music upon return from Justice Drug. Cool. Room was great with appropriate noise of being downtown. Pricey but worth it to get away from regular KC. Spend the money and you won't regret it.

This is the coolest property for KC! Reminds me of Iron Horse in Milwaukee or House of Blues in Chicago. Huge rooms, immaculate, friendly staff. Everything was beyond expectations-bed, shower, towels. Wished had brighter lighting in room, but that seems to be common everywhere. Restaurant had excellent food, and chef sent out berries and sorbet he was "trialing" that was... More

Rooms are large and luxurious. We were only in town for the night, and regret that we were not able to stay there longer! The shower was absolutely huge as well. We managed to score a bed and breakfast package at $184 per night which included parking, however I think the parking would have been $15 a day without it.... More

Thank you for your review! Our beautiful granite showers accompanied by our spacious guestrooms are a must see while in Kansas City. The bed and breakfast package is definitely a steal that includes a late check out and breakfast for two either through room service or inside Reserve. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and... More

This is a great hotel. Great location only a few blocks from Power and Light district. Wonderful personal service. A car will take you anywhere in the area like the Plaza. Great food and a cool bar. The rooms are very nice.

We recently stayed at the Ambassador for a few days in connection with a sightseeing trip to KC. The hotel, a former bank, is a hidden gem with large rooms furnished in understated modern tones, with very comfortable beds Rooms have wall safes and complementary bottled water and coffee makers. The staff is exceptional. Prices are reasonable and we recommend... More

Highly recommend the Ambassador Hotel, my girlfrend and I stay there and our room was huge, even with the two queen size beds, really big and luxurious! The bathroom was equally big with two sinks opposite each other, a massive shower plus extra room, largest bath I have ever had at a hotel. Every aspect of the hotel was high... More

Stunning hotel ...loved the history of the building, stylish renovation of public spaces and the large, comfortable and beautifully appointed guest rooms. Both the wait staff and hotel staff were superb and professional in appearance and service -- similar to what one would experience at a fine hotel in large U.S. and European cities. Great bar food and excellent selection... More

Amazing location! We went to the annual Kansas City Burlesque Festival at The Folly Theater which is only a couple of blocks away. We used the Ambassador shuttle service which was fast and runs until 11pm. The Power & Light district is down the street. The room was clean, comfortable and beautifully designed. From the moment we checked in the... More
