Raphael has recently been renovated. The rooms were very nice, the bed very comfortable. It is also in a great location, just across the street from the KC Country Club Plaza. more

We had high expectations based on prior reviews, but the spacious, elegantly appointed, and immaculate room exceeded those expectations. We also dined in the more casual (but still very upscale) restaurant in the bar, and the food was exquisite. Excellent location as well. more

The Raphael is a very good hotel, but it is not great. Many of the rooms are suites, and they are big. BUT, only if you want to feel like you're staying in an office.
