From the handpicked stone walkways, architecture & pool to the ornately carved palapa, furniture and garden statues imported from Bali, this is a truly special place to enjoy the splendors of one of the most beautiful places on the continent. Just try to pry your eyes away from the view from the decks, gardens and pool, it is unbelievable. The... more

I recently stayed at Casa Kukana in Sayulita while attending a wedding. What an incredible place it turned out to be. We had wonderful views of the ocean and village and just sat out by the pool for a hours on end. I would recommend that any who travels to Sayulita should stay at this place. It allowed to experience... more

We stayed at Casa Kukana this August and got incredible rates due to the media from the swine flu. The hosts Suzanne and her house manager Santiago and Suzanna were there to meet us, made sure we were all set up in the house an explained how everything worked. We had daily maid service and the gardens and views were... more

It is literally a 15 minute walk (through town) to the beach, I timed it. The walk back is ALL uphill. There is no other way to get to the beach unless you take a jungley, uneven, junk filled path. We tried to take the Villa Amor path (a STEEP cobblestone road), but it was either locked (15 ft high... more

To begin with we love Sayulita. It's not for everyone , especially pampered princesses. It is not Cabo or Cancun! There are no banks, no chain restaurants, no time share hustlers, no topless bars................just cobble streets, roosters, great food and extremely good margs. We found it comical that just outside the downtown area, cars would usually drive around the dogs... more

I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place. I spent a peaceful week in the Moroccan bungalow, which was spotless and beautifully appointed with stunning views and a private terrace. Just steps away was a lovely small pool, lounge chairs and hammac. The perfect place for a restful stay, which was just what I was looking for. But... more

We booked with Kukana on a recommendation from a friend who had stayed there a few years ago in the Garden bungalow. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner was helpful with our questions about Sayulita. There is a nice backyard area with lounge chairs, a hammock, and a small pool overlooking the beach below. The view is... more

We had an amazing experience at Casa Kukana! It has the best view in all of Sayulita, and the owner was very accommodating. We stayed in the guest house, perfect for two, and we are hoping to stay in the main house on our next visit. The casa has everything you could ask for: ocean/jungle views, pool, hammock, privacy, walking... more

This was a great place to stay. Spectacular view, great privacy. You sit on top of a hill, about a mile walk from the village - there are small stores to get drinks, vine, food, etc... fruit and vegetable vendors drive their trucks around town 3-4 times a week. We stayed in two of the units available for this place.... more

We stayed at Casa Kukana this January and absolutely loved the place. It was my husband, my parents and my two children, and we rented the entire property to ourselves. They have a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the most amazing view in the world, and a very large grass platform with a Bali house and hammock underneath to take a... more
