There are not enough words to descrip the lovely and peaceful atmosphere. It's such a beautiful place! Unique! The owners are so nice and helpful, they really do everything (and more) to give you a wonderful stay. The rooms are very comfortable and overlooking the immense garden with all the olive trees, you feel like a prince and princess in... More

Directions are easy either coming by road, train or air, arrival is charming and welcoming by both Thierry and Marie-Laure. Food, decor and ambience all excellent, we loved being with this couple being treated as house guests rather than paying guests.

From enquiring about booking accommodation to leaving at the end of our holiday, the owners were extremely helpful and friendly in ensuring that we had everything we needed as well as giving us advise on where to go and what to do. We booked self-catering and the apartment we had was in a beautiful courtyard, it had everything we needed... More

Lovely mansion ideally located, if you want a mix of typical provencal villages, sightseeing, shopping and farniente by the pool or on the beach. Thierry speaks perfect English, not just the usual "broken English spoken", which really helped us discover and enjoy Provence. The kind of place you wish to return to.

I stayed at the Mas d'Anez last week and was enchanted - not just by the beautiful house and my comfortable room ( Matignon ) but also by the gracious, multi-talented hosts, Thierry and Marie-Laure Mantoux. Friendly and consistently helpful without being intrusive, they give their guests just the right pointers to make a visit to Provence truly memorable. Marie-Laure's... More

This is a large circa 1742 home on an estate outside Tarascon, between Arles and Avignon, owned and run by a sophisticated couple, the husband being a published wine expert. They are hospitable and urbane; however, I think they blur the line between the business and social realms. To explain what I mean by this, they were having a dinner... More

We loved staying at Le Maz D'Anez. The house and property are truly impressive and the hosts, Thierry and Marie-Laure were welcoming and friendly, and gave us some great suggestions on where to visit around Provence. We were particulary impressed with Thierry's restaurant and wine suggestions - he knows about food and wine!

It started when made our reservation by phone. Thierry Mantoux, our hosts, answered in a perfect English ( Oxford ). A pleasant surprise in the french country side! Our week there was a genuine enchantment. The house is a beautifully restored 18th century Bastide. The refined interior decoration, by Marie-Laure, Thierry's wife, makes you feel really privileged. The bedroom had a private... More

My wife and I stayed at Mas d'Nez for one week. It made a delightful base for exploring Provence. Hosts Marie-Laure and Thierry were welcoming and hospitable, have a wealth of knowledge of the region and were full of helpful suggestions for restaurants, excursions, sights, directions and anything else you needed. Thierry's knowledge of wine is a huge plus if... More
