One of the worst dinners I've ever had. I had salmon, my wife had pork tenderloin medallions. Both were horribly overlooked, and pretty much tasteless. I never complain, but this time I spoke to waiter, his comment was, well, we are trying something different.. I felt ripped off for $100+ meal.. Will not go back.

We were biking the Katy trail, and I booked this location as my reward of surviving the trail. After reading the reviews, I was excited to arrive to our third bed and breakfast in three days. We are not traditional B&B people so I booked the separate building. It was the small orginal smoke house. It was amazing to see... More

The Alpenhorn Gasthaus is an 8 acre farm with several red brick buildings which consists of the main house and two small cottages in the back with an outdoor hot tub. These buildings date to early to mid 1800's. The grounds are beautifully maintained as well as the buildings. The owners Adrian and Kate are super nice with great attention... More

We arrived 5/24/13 for a two night stay. Our first stay was great and this was equally as good or even better. We went up on Friday and road the Katy Trail. After the Trail we went to check in and were greeted by Adrian. This is our second time we've stayed here and both times we stayed in the... More

We arrived on a cold dreary day and were warmly greeted by Wiggles and Marmalade, two very polite and friendly cats. Kate, greeted us warmly and showed us to our room and got us signed up for a private time at the hot tub. We visited Rudy and Hansel the sheep and the dozen chickens, the stable and grounds were... Thank you for a wonderful experience! The owners are a gracious couple who have had the property for about 10 years. Owning a B&B was their dream, and you can tell by the care they have given the property and to their guests. The Gasthaus is up on hill with a wonderful view of the hills around Hermann. There are... This B&B is a beautiful old property set in the hills just outside of Hermann, MO. It's an old brick house in a pastoral setting, with sheep and chickens on the property. There is a nice hot tub in back, and if you stay in one of the two guesthouses, it's right outside your door! My wife and I stayed... More

The Alpenhorn Gasthuas has been the best B&B experience to date. It is in a beautiful setting, just a mile from Hermann, and the food was incredible. Each morning, breakfast was delectable. Thick rich French toast with maple butter, or creamed eggs benedict, or and egg, ham, and cheese cup. Sides included homemade smoothies, fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice,... More

So we stayed just a few days ago for a romantic getaway and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. From the time we arrived and got a full tour of the house and grounds from Adrian, one of the owners, to the very sad time when we had to leave, everything was wonderful. The common area had books, board games, a guitar, and... More

My Fiance and I travel quite a lot and stay in many hotels and B&Bs. This place is by far one of our top three, if not number 1. We and I truly enjoyed staying in the Das Klein Haus on the property. It was such a comfortable and peaceful stay. We enjoyed the "fire" and the ambiance of the... More
