This is my favorite place to stay when traveling to St. Paul on business. Conveniently located off I-35. The restaurant located in the hotel has good food if you don't want to venture out. The restaurant staff is very accommodating to solo travelers. The big downside is the outdoor parking, especially in the winter.

As a local, I've not needed to stay in a room here, have had guests stay. The hotel management has been engaged in the revitalization of downtown and great to work with. The happy hour can't be beat. The real ducks are fun, and the location is good.

Our first stay was in 2008 when my son began footabll at Macalester College! Great school, and great hotel! 4 years later, I still love this hotel! We stayed and never made the Manager's reception, but always mad the breakfast! Headiing back for the graduation! Great Hotel. Don' expect perfect rooms (they are older!) but room is good!
