In Rochester for my sons hockey tournament. Were supposed to stay in the Ramada but there was an organizational screwup that made it so our group was directed to the Guesthouse. The front desk was very freindly and after speaking to the smiling and very helpful people there, my initial 'dump' impression and thoughts of 'oh my god this place... more

After 2 nights of back aches we requested a new room, with better beds. The next room was a little better, but the beds are cheap. Staff was always helpful. We were warned about leaving valuables in our car. Breakfast was good. more

Our room was spacious, with a microwave and mini-fridge. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. Good basic breakfast included in price under $70. There was only one unsettling thing. When we stayed there several cars had their windows broken and the cars were broken into. This can happen anywhere, but park in a well lit spot. more

We are local, but as a Girl Scout leader we had held many pool parties here in past years because the management had always given us a great deal, allowed us to have food in the pool area and decorate, and allowed us to keep more than 4 people in the room...they could do this because the rooms were huge... more

I found the people at this hotel to be extremely helpful and kind. It's convenient - a mile or so away from the Mayo, across the street from a Perkins, near an Olive Garden, connected to a Famous Dave's BBQ (Famous Dave's will deliver to your room and give you a 10% discount). The shuttle service they offered would have... more

With the number of hotels in the area it was hard to choose where to stay. I just knew I would pick the worst one! With my husband loosing his job the begining of the year we are on a very tight budget. So price was my top concern. We could not have been happier with my selection. The first... more

Hotel staff allowed teenagers to wander the building chasing each other through hallways and slamming doors until 2:30 am. When the front desk was called they seemed unconcerned and did nothing to get the kids in their rooms or notify their chaperone's. When the kids came back from their day of activities the pool became that like the scene from... more

Price is right. Recommend highly. Rooms have fridge and microwave and the bset supermarket in town is just across the street. Large rooms have been recently refurbished. We have stayed here on 4 trips to Rochester this year and will be back. About one mile from Mayo Clinic but shuttle is available. Convenient to US52 for trips to mall, etc.... more

really nice place, it is older but is kept up nicely. Pool was huge and restaraunt was great Dave's BBQ. We probably saved $20 dollars each night and it's as nice as the more expensive hotels. Manager even called our room the first night to see if everything was ok in the room, nice touch. Reccomend this place more
