A Jeckle and Hyde stay. Outside facility and golf course are beautiful. Lobby is horrible; tiny, uncomfortable couches. Rooms are comfortable and very large, but nothing fancy. Restaurant and lounge nice looking, but simple.
One day they will have a lot of guests, none the next (depends on conference or weddings) so you never know when waterpark will be open, lounge hours sporadic, food in restaurant good one day, horrid the next. Spa only open Thursday-Saturday and even then, not open when I stopped by. Missing a lot of amenities you'd expect from a place like this -- No in-room movies, no room service, nothing to eat at all after 9 p.m. Where are the cookies or continental breakfast, larger towels in the fireplace/jacuzzi suites, WiFi?

Thumper Pond Resort is open year-round, however some amenities’ hours change dependent on the season and level of on-property activity. We do have room service available when the kitchen is open as well as pizzas and vending generally available around the clock. The entire property has wireless internet, as well as hard-wire connections in each guest room.
