Melgeorge's Elephant Lake Lodge has everything you need for a Great snowmobile trip. Nice rooms in the hotel. Good food and drink, gas available and right on the trail in the middle of many destinations. The local clubs groom everyday. We had fantastic conditions. Highly Recommended.

We came here for breakfast and it was excellent. We had wonderful service and everything was hot coming out. If you are hungry and in the area defintely recommend this place. A lot of 4wheeling trails you can take around there to.

We stayed in one of the lodge rooms, which over looked the lake. The view was incredible. The room was clean, very spacious and well appointed. The price was of the room was very reasonable. The staff was friendly. The resort does have a restaurant, but it has a very limited menu. I understand somewhat due to the size of the resort, but it would have been nice to have a couple more options. If you want a relaxing stay, this place would be hard to beat.

I visited with friends and we had an absolute blast. The owners, Carla and Steve, made as feel like family and all their employees were awesome too. The one man accordion band exceeded all my expectations, and that’s just the beginning. We rented a pontoon boat for a day, which was fun for exploring elephant lake. The food and beverages onsite were reasonably priced and delicious. Service for food and beverages was outstanding. WiFi was fast and reliable and the bathroom at the restaurant was clean. This resort is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. I’m looking forward to returning next year! Tips: - If you visit late July/early August you might be able to go and pick wild blueberries in the area (so good). The staff can tell you where to go. - Bring bug spray (the strongest you can find)! Hey, it’s in the woods by a lake. This is not a complaint...just a friendly tip if you’re visiting spring-fall. - Vermillion Falls is just a couple miles from the resort and it is worth a quick stop. There is a short hike from the parking lot to the waterfall on a narrow trail (unfortunately the trail is not handicap friendly). - The water in the lake is really refreshing, much cooler than the lakes in the Twin Cities area. Bring a swim suit and enjoy it! - There is a small gift shop onsite with a few essentials if needed. - There is a cash machine inside the restaurant if needed.

The owners here are so friendly and customer service oriented so the experience is fantastic. The cabins are adorable and well kept right next to the lake edge. You can't go wrong fishing here either! Awesome catches and plenty of space! Be prepared for the bugs and bring long sleeves and pants and strong bug repellent! The mosquitos can be vicious around dawn and dusk!

My wife and I spent a couple days here in the middle of the week. We were treated to the loons calling and very good weather. We enjoyed fishing and the great food from their restaurant. The rooms were very clean and the staff was excellent to deal with. The resort is set back from any tar roads but still is easy to find. We will come back and next time plan to stay longer.

Stopped for dinner, after hearing glowing recommendations. We had a lovely evening - ordered the champagne chicken-wild rice and chardonay Perfect. Good service. Well worth the drive. Didn't stay at the lodge - but it looked like that would be fun, families were enjoying themselves.

We rented 2 lodge rooms this past week (6/19-6/21/17). Rooms are very clean & roomy. Comfy beds. There are also cabins to rent for bigger groups. Full bar and restaurant right downstairs. We ordered food to take to our rooms and they even delivered right to our room for us! Ice, bait (leeches, night crawlers, and minnows). Nice big dock with boat and pontoon rentals. Awesome service from Carla, Steve, and their kids. They do a great job for you! We already reserved rooms for again next year.

Spent an over night with my buddies and watched the superbowl with some nice local people and some other snowmobilers at the resort lodge. Great time, great service and great memories! Carla and Chris kept our night lively with libations and great hositality! Steve bailed me out with a broken snowmobile the next morning in his heated shop. We went from customers to friends overnight! Thanks guys for the memories! See u next year!

We had such a wonderful weekend at Melgeorge's. The January weather was a combination of snow and rain with 40° temps, but our cabin (Birch) was so cozy! We went fishing for 2 days. We had late afternoon drinks on Friday at the bar with great service it was quiet. Saturday night we had appetizers and drinks with a few friends the place was packed, and service was still top-notch. From making the reservation, to checking out our whole stay was very enjoyable. The staff was helpful and friendly throughout the weekend. Being able to have our dogs was also a bonus for us! We plan to be back again! Thank You
