We stayed here for an extended weekend trip and found the hotel to be very nice. It's obvious that they hired a real interior designer to outfit this place because there are a lot of nice touches everywhere you look. The location is excellent if you're taking the light rail system from the airport. There are two train stops you... more
Stayed 2 nights in this beautiful hotel. Booked it online directly from their website for only 71$ a night ! It was the "sizzle in the city" package. Very classy hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel restaurant/bar is a bit pricey, but the lamb is worth every penny. There is also an Irish pub right across the street... more
Hotel Minneapolis is ULTRA conveniently located across the street from the Light Rail and connected to the skyways. Perfect destination for business travelers as well as weekend adventerousos. Staff is empowered to make choices and the overall service fantastic! more
A good reasonably-priced hotel that's skyway connected to everything, close to the light rail station to/from the airport. Although there aren't many restaurants immediately adjacent to the hotel, it's just a few minutes walk. Limited breakfast options can get a bit repetitive, but cool former bank location. Rooms are decently sized and the beds and showers are great (like the... more
We took a trip down to the Twin Cities from Canada for the PGA Championship in Hazeltine. We decided to stay downtown and used priceline for a good deal on The Hotel Minneapolis. Ill start with the pros: This hotel is nicely situated downtown. Its safe, clean and affordable. Its also been recently renovated and was an old bank building,... more
I have reviewed & stayed at this hotel before, i really love almost everything....."ALMOST" The reason i say this is, this hotel charges high overnight parking fees, for valet parking or self parking. I understand charging fees to park, since this is a convienant "downtown" hotel. However, hotel customers should never be charged for parking, never. To make it worse,... more
This hotel is lovely, but there aren't many people there and the vibe is depressing. I have had drinks there twice and dinner there once. If you don't go during happy hour, plan to get a second mortgage on your house to pay for a single glass of wine ($20..and yes, that was the cheapest wine they had.) COMPLETE ripoff.... more
I was annoyed with the hotel before I even checked in because the directions from the hotel's own Web site are not completely accurate. There is no excuse for this. When you arrive in a city you've never been in before and drive a rental car alone at night, you need really good directions. First, they said to follow I35 but... more
Jen's Trips wrote exactly what I'd have written. My addition is that I used to do business in this building when it belonged to the Soo Line Railroad. It is amazingly cool what they did to turn an old established marble industrial office building into something this hip. It is the most successful project of this kind I've experienced. Room... more
