Stayed here for 3 days while visiting relatives in the area. Very nice place, clean, with the cheapest rates in town we could find. My girls and their cousins enjoyed the warm pool and hot tub. Pool area was comfortable for those of us not swimming. The free breakfast in the morning was good and the staff friendly. All day... More

If you looked at the map, you could be fooled into thinking the Country Inn had lake views, but the main views are of trains and route 10 zooming by. Still, the rooms are pleasant, well-lit, clean and big enough. I didn't hear the trains at all. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. Best thing is... More

This is a very nice property by Carlson. It is located on the outskirts of DL between and Lake and the very busy train tracks. It is clean and a good value. Our only complaint would be the noise from the trains. They accept pets for a modest fee of $20.00 per stay. We would probably stay here again More

Best value, year in and year out, I have ever found for family visiting. Clean, well-lit, good sized rooms (the extra $20 per night for the suite is well worth it). Free WIfI a big plus, very good free self-serve breakfast for the price (includes you-make-em waffles, one type of egg dish each morning, one breakfast meat per morning, several... More

This hotel is right next to a train track that is frequented by trains all throughout the day and night, and they blow their horns every time they come through. I only slept about two hours. I will never stay here again. More

This hotel is the perfect location for Detroit Lakes The hotel is located on the edge of town so if you are driving in from the Twin Cities it is the first hotel you come across. It isn't on the lake but the hotel that is on the lake is about twice as expensive- and this hotel is basically next... More

We recently stayed at this hotel during Memorial Day weekend. It was great from the start, as they gave us a call when they had a cancellation. We were treated by friendly staff at registration, and were welcomed with a clean, good-sized room. Other family members were also staying there, and they were also happy with the rooms and service.... More

We reserved a night's stay online in Detroit Lakes on our travel to be with family in North Dakota. A somewhat unfriendly and "too busy" front desk person checked us in to a very unclean room. The last guests' snacks and wrappers were still under the bed. Mirrors and glass were not clean. Most bothersome were the very loud trains... More

Large clean rooms, nice lobby, friendly staff. Nothing much around outside the door but if all you need is a clean room this would do just fine. More
