We stayed here for one night, and frankly it was one night too many! But, choices were limited as they were the only lodging in town who would allow a pet (for a $10 fee, at that). This was one of our last stops on a three week, cross country trip, and out of all the places we stayed, this was by far the most depressing and overpriced for the money. I called and made a reservation several days in advance, when we knew we would be passing through the area. The owner who checked me in did not say one word other than how much the total was and here is your key, no hello, enjoy your stay, nothing. Just a very sullen and cold woman who made it plain we were 'bothering' her, (we arrived at a very respectable hour, around 7pm). We were informed that if you have a dog you stay in the older building. Apparently those rooms are the old, run down rooms reserved for the pet owners who have paid $10 to have their pet allowed to stay. I feel if I am paying extra for my well behaved pet to stay, I should have as nice a room as anyone else, not the run down, nasty ones. I have included a couple of photos for illustration. The carpet was old and so nasty it was cringe worthy. Bathroom was dingy and dim with hardly any lighting. Sink and faucet were stained and dirty looking, bed was simple a bed frame shoved against the wall, no headboard, with thin, dingy sheets and worn out mattress. The ceiling was yellow from cigarette smoke and the smoke detector was at least 40 years old (photo included of it on yellowed ceiling). Room was TINY, only one chair in a corner to sit in, the other person had to sit on the bed to watch tv, and we kept tripping over one other when moving around the room. My advice would be if you can possible avoid this place, do so. The whole experience left us with a bad taste in our mouth and the feeling of being ripped off. We stayed in some very nice mom and pop motels on our three weeks of travelling, but this is unfortunately, one of those places that give the mom and pops a bad name.…
