What a fabulous time we had at the "Grey Hare Inn" the rooms are very quaint, extremely clean and an absolute fabulous view. Sitting in our room looking out the window at the vineyard and lovely cherry blossom trees with the Traverse Bay in the background was ever so picturesque. For a moment i thought we were back in Napa... More

Looking for a relaxing, romantic escape from the ordinary? Your search ends at the Grey Hare Inn and Vineyard on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City Michigan. The world begins to melt away as you drive up the peninsula and soak up the gorgeous bay views and rolling hills dotted with orchards and vineyards. The winding drive to the Grey... More

We thank the Grey Hare Inn owners for making our 25th Anniversary celebration a fond rembrance. The room was beautiful and the entire B & B is beyond words. The breakfasts were thoughtful experiences, as well as the beautiful views from our windows. Everything about the Grey Hare Inn will be a fond memory. We hope to return again. Thanks,... More

We recently stayed at the Grey Hare Inn as part of our Valentine's Day celebration. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one of the owners, Cindy, who gave us a walk-through of the inn as well as detailed information about how to best utilize the rooms and things such as the door lock and the TV. The attention to detail... More

Unlike the previous reviewer we are B&B people and one of our two negative points about this otherwise superb inn would be that the heat (even in early October) was enough for us to turn on the newly installed aircon briefly during our two night stay. Two bright sunny windows in our first floor (second floor to American folk) meant... More

It has taken a while to try to come to some determination of exactly how to respond to this rather intriguing review, and finally failing a totally satisfactory solution I felt at minimum something should be formally entered for others to read. As is mostly evident in the tone of the review, these guests truly enjoyed their visit to our... More

My husband planned a short 40th b-day vacation for me in Traverse City in July and thought it would be nice to stay at a B&B in a vineyard, so he booked the Grey Hare Inn. Only upon arrival did we find out that they DO NOT have air conditioning. It was 95 degrees that day and there was a... More

Air-conditioning was installed this past week in response to the record setting heatwave, so our thanks to this guest for bringing this issue to the attention of the Trip Advisor public so that we can again demonstrate the true nature of our responsiveness to guest requirements. Fifteen years ago when we designed and built the inn, the term “Global Warming”... More

What a lovely setting for a B&B inn--atop a hill, surrounded by vineyards and cherry orchards, with a water view. We felt like we were in another country, but realized we were only a short drive to great restaurants on Old Mission Peninsula or to tour bustling Traverse City. We were sure we stayed in the very BEST room, second... More

We really enjoyed our stay. The vineyard setting is magnificent and it would have been a lovely trip just to sit outside. The location is great. The breakfasts were wonderful and the owner was very sensitive to our dietary needs. I would have enjoyed some toiletries aside from soap (even green hotels provide something) To me this has to be... Our thanks to this guest for all of the kind comments and for making us aware that while we do provide additional amenities upon request that perhaps we need to a better effort to assure that guests are aware of this service. Our greeting cards individually written to each arriving guest to 'please let us know "if there is anything... More

We stayed in the Barnwood Suite - the orchard/vineyard views were really beautiful, especially from the private sunroom. The Grey Hare has outdoor seating areas in different areas on the property, so you can stay on the grounds and still have some space to yourself if you desire (including a screened gazebo in the woods nearby). The breakfasts were so... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights in the downstairs suite June 26-29, 2011. The grapes weren't on the vines yet and the cherries weren't yet ripe, but our stay was perfection. The room/suite was very comfortable and quiet. Cindy and Jay were the perfect hosts and provided great info on where to go and what to see in the... More
