This is an older suburban Marriott property. It really needs a complete makeover. The bed was way to soft and the linen (sheets, pillow cases, towels) were worn. I have been at this Marriott many times and it is in a convenient location for many things in the area. It is a normal Marriott, nothing special, nothing bad everything you would expect from a big chain. Lobby / Bar area were comfortable and rooms are clean and comfortable.

Thank you Detroit Marriott Southfield for a wonderful stay. Really could've stayed a few more days. We found outselves needing an inexpensive hotel for two nights in the Detroit area. With Priceline we found ourselves at the Southfield Marriott. The Priceline price was very reasonable. Very easy parking very close to the lobby door and location was close to Novi and Northern Detroit suburbs. Stayed here for a conference, which was also being held at the hotel. There are better Marriotts, to be sure, but this one was quite decent. My room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was adequate, pretty good breakfast, and the conference facilities were good. All in all, a good hotel.
