For Christmas we received a gift certificate for a three night stay at the Boardwalk Inn. This was a gift from our three children. We were so looking foward to our trip and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We stayed in the Bayview room. Room was very clean and comfortable. We could view the bay from our window. Very... We stayed in the La Petite the night before our two nights in the Grand Hotel. The Grand could take a lesson in cleaning, pride and hosting form Jim. Our room was Petite but well caredd for and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings more than adequate for our needs. The building is old but very well... More

We had a wonderful time at the Boardwalk Inn. The place was so clean and full of charm. Jim and Kayla were very friendly and so helpful, ready to do what was needed to make our stay grand. They were able to answer questions and were full of information. The room we stayed in, The Vallier, over looked the water... More

Had a good time with the owners . Sunrise room had a great veiw of Mackinaw Island and was cleaner than expected. The breakfast was a good start to our day ( english muffins & bagles ). We found Trip Advisor after our stay and had to write a review to say that it sounded like the gentelman from Ann... More

Every August for the last 12 years I have enjoyed the Goldwing Road Riders Midnight Ride to Mackinaw. But I had a hard time settling on a motel to stay at each year and kept changing locations. Each year before I left to go home I would look at several other places to stay. Then I found the Boardwalk and... More

My wife, my son and I stayed one night in September while we were passing through Saint Ignace on the way to the Upper Peninsula of MI. Overall the B&B is an average one, but we found the breakfast to be disappointing, and had one particular issue that hopefully has been corrected since our stay. The following are the details... The Boardwalk Inn was built in the 1920's and was renovated into a bed and breakfast type hotel. The owners operate the hotel and are very friendly and helpful. The small hotel rooms were combined into multiples during the renovation to make spacious modern rooms. Our room had been two rooms. The suites are larger. The furniture is wooden, and... More

We enjoyed the Boardwalk Inn. It is not like staying in brand new hotel, but is a nice change from the usual hotel. Rooms were cutely decorated and clean. It was quiet and restful.

We just spent two nights at the Boardwalk Inn in St. Ignace, MI. I believe it is the oldest still operating inn in St. Ignace. It dates back to the 1920s, and is decorated appropriately. It was wonderful! The lobby was quaint and comfotrable. There were beautiful antiques scattered throughout the house. Our party took up three rooms. My sister... More
