On our honeymoon after driving all night my new bride and I happened upon Scott's. Don and Kathy were such nice people and made us feel at home and treated us like we were family. I loved that they were an independent operation and that just added to our U.P. experience. We plan on returning many times in the future.

Dated decor, clean, needs some TLC, overpriced for what you get.

If you’ve seen my other reviews you know that I tend to stay at mid-range chain hotels, so staying at an independent was a different experience for me. I was very happy with my stay. Old, family-oned establishment, has some personal touches, such as stuffed animals in the registration area. They apparently have a variety of rooms, suites, and cabins.
