I stayed here in a single room for 2 nights in Feb 2012 as part of a Buddhist pilgrimage tour of 30 people - mostly Westerners. When staying on my own I tend to stay in higher end accommodations, but on pilgrimage my needs are simple - and this hotel met my needs adaequately. The hotel is a little shabby... More

The hotel is located at a good location which slightly off the main road. The services are prompt. The rooms are neat and clean. They provide good breakfast. The restaurant is pricey. The only thing which I did not like was the differential treatment which the hotel staff many times gives to the foreigner tourists and the Indians. For a... More

We traveled to Bodhgaya with friends and had reached in the night but the location of the hotel made if very easy to spot. it is located very close to Mahabodhi Temple and right next to the Thai Buddhist temple (aka naulakha temple). The place it self is not on the main road thus you can sleep tight at night... More

Sujata Hotel is a comfortable hotel for a place like Bodhgaya, where the focus is on a religious (mainly Buddhist) pilgrimage to the place of Enlightenment by Lord Buddha. In that sense, I guess you just need a relaxing place to stay in with basic but good facilities after a day of meditation and visits of religious sites. The rooms... More

We spent two night in Bodhgaya to visit the Bodhi tree. Bodh gaya is a small town, where most foreigners come for buddhist pilgrimage. Besides the Bodhi tree and the temples, there is very little to do. Sujata hotel is not fancy but clean and simple. Most people who stay there come for Buddhist pilgrimage. We had a two single... I went along with my parents to Bodh gaya and we stayed at Hotel Sujata for one night only...but the accommodation was nice, clean and the best thing is that the hotel is very close to the Temple. Room service is also very good. Good value for money.

My main complaint was that the manager was a bit dodgy about the room rates. His opening offer during the off-season was about 150% of the published rate in Lonely Planet for a single room with air conditioning. The rooms themselves were clean with clean sheets on the bed. The restaurant must have cleaned their dishes with cold water by... More

The hotel is very clean and neat. The rooms are made very nicely...the marble floors, the pleasing colour tiles in bathroom...the colour combination gives a classy look to the rooms. The hotel exterior is nothing great. the hotel is quite close to the Bodhi temple. The food is not that good...but service is good. Power trippings make your sleep not... More

The Hotel is OK, at least the more expensive rooms in the new section are. It's clean for Indian standards and breakfast was OK. There is a restaurant, which is cramped and about as cozy as an average waiting room of a train station but food was OK and staff friendly. But what really annoyed us was the poo value:... More

Hotel Sujata – Bodhgaya For tourists and people who are visiting Bodh Gaya on some religious purpose, the Sujata is a good place to be. Centrally located, it is close to all the tourist sites, like the magnificent Mahabodhi temple. This is a small hotel - does not have the appearance of a hotel, rather like a block of flats.... More
