We have stayed at this hotel more than once and are very impressed with the courteous staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. A real bonus is the absolutely stunning sunrises on Lake Michigan just across the highway from the hotel.

Disappointed that the room did not have more amenities for the price. We really like this hotel on Lake Michigan in the U.P We come every year after Christmas and stay for a few days. You can't beat the location, and the staff is very friendly. Good breakfast, and the free popcorn in the evening is very nice. We'll be back next year.

Don't stop here...Plan your trip that you can go as far as possible. We got the last King room on 1st floor. Two stories ...no elevator! Terrible redecorating job. I think if the room were cheaper (ours was $123 plus taxes, etc.), we would not have had such a mediocre perspective. After all, it can't really be the lakeside view we were paying for, could it? The hotel is not really parallel to the lake (though the shore does bend in) and half the view is blocked by trees... More

We drove from Munising (45min at 10pm) because this was the first place of nearly 20 that had an open room. For $120 + fees ($145 total), I expected more. They are located across the street from Lake Michigan. Everything was clean.

We had a clean, freshly painted King room on the first floor with a lovely view of Lake Michigan. Across the street is a 2 mile boardwalk that leads to the lighthouse and then to historic downtown. Stayed here one night on our very first trip across the UP ---next time we will drive farther for this was not a good place or value. It was just "tired" although they tried to keep it clean and all night long we could hear folks walking on the floor above us so there must have been poor insulation.
