Bill and Jane have done it right! Everything for the room to the furnishings are top quality. And BREAKFAST!! Truly good food, unlike most B&Bs there was a lot of thought and great cooking evident. It is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Our group of 10 took all the rooms for the weekend. We will... More

The Washtenaw Ski Touring Club had the distinct pleasure of visiting Jane and Bill's wonderful B and B. We enjoyed their company and hospitality, their sweet dog, Maggie and their incredible breakfasts. We did not get to ski, no snow, however we hiked in glorious sunshine. This is a great place to stay. Lake Michigan shoreline is clean and beautiful.... More

Bill and Jane provided warmth and hospitality on our winter getaway weekend "up north." The food was delicious and wonderfully and artfully served. The bedrooms are quiet and large. This beautiful and historic Victorian home is perfect for the Ludington / west Michigan area, a wonderful place to explore in fall, winter or summer. The B&B is ideally situated for... More

The Lamplighter is an excellent B&B! Bill and Jane were so gracious and provided our family with such a warm and friendly stay. Breakfasts were definitely gourmet. We were spoiled for sure. My husband now expects this every morning after we get home...not! Of course Maggie added an extra amount of love that was special as well. The Lamplighter is... More

Lamplighter inn is a charming B & B in a lovely Michigan coastal town. We spent the night there in order to take the ferry across the lake the next morning. Our room was extremely comfortable with excellent a/c on a humid night, not always found in charming inns, and the bathroom was very good and well laid out. Our... More

This is a wonderful place to stay in Ludington. It's a short walk to the downtown area and beach. The room was small, but certainly adequate. The breakfast was delicious! I even went down while my husband was sick in bed with a cold -- and he was grumpy for the rest of the day because he missed it. Jane... More

Bill and Jane are very friendly, wonderful hosts and I encourage everyone who loves food to book a night at the Lamplighter. The breakfast was so elegant and delicious, I loved it! I wish I could have a breakfast like that every morning! The room was very cozy and we felt comfortable and happy during our stay. More

This is a lovely B&B offering a wonderful experience. Our room was great. The breakfasts were a work of art and easily one of the highlights of our stay in the area. And our stay was significantly enhanced by our hosts, Jane and Bill, who were everything one could ask for: efficient, friendly, interesting, helpful, and thoughtful. We are very... More
