The room was dirty, promised wireless was not available, AC didn't produce during the night; TV remote did not work, no soap, no tissue, bedspread filthy, as was carpet and shower drain. The owners were surly and not at all helpful. I'm at fault myself for not reading this review before staying. I hope this helps someone else.

This isn't the fanciest or most modern place but it's sufficient and affordable. It was clean and comfortable and right across from Lake Michigan. There were no musty smells and the bathroom was fine. It's within walking distance of the downtown area.The other reviews on this site I found to be unsubstantiated.

If I could rate this as negative stars it would be more appropriate. This place should be shut down! My trip was completely different ...Although the property was dated, it was very well maintained and cleaned. It was convenient to the beach and skatepark and the pool was very nice! We did not want donuts for breakfast just the hot coffee that was provided. We plan on staying at Lakeside again ... the staff was very nice!

Family of 5 stayed one night. Very small, smelly, dirty bed covers, bathroom was terrible. One small bar of soap, no shampoo, etc. Not even an outlet in the bathroom. Staff was not friendly at all.
