It was our first from the book 1000 Places to See! The staff and owners were friendly and gave such a lovely history of the homes. You could wander and tour their houses ...playing the piano, listening to the old record player. We stayed in the balcony room, which was a treat in itself. Relaxing evening on the porch swing,... Two of my college friends and I recently took a week-long trip from Madison, WI through to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Autumn was at it's height and we had a great trip. Since none of us had ever stayed in a Victorian B&B, we thought we'd try the experience at the Laurium Manor Inn. The property is just beautiful... More

We stayed here one night and it is marvelous. We got there early so were able to see the other rooms. Plus all of the common rooms. Our room was huge with a balcony and quite quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we have had. The staff was quite courteous and helpful. More

This part of the country is rich in copper mining history. The beaches and shores surrounding the peninsula are a rockhounds dream. We loved the back roads and scenic vistas of the area and will return one day. When we do return will will stay at the Laurium Manor Inn. We found the staff to be most welcoming and upbeat.... More

A beautiful B+B in a beautiful area - Calumet and Laurium and side-by-side towns that are very quaint and cute. Some of the rooms at the Manor have A.C. units, but most don't. We stayed in the Carriage House (room #20) and loved it - You get the entire two bedroom floor of the Carriage House for the same price... More

My husband and I really enjoy finding out-of-the-way hotels and B&Bs. After finding Laurium/Victorian online, I booked a room at the Victorian B&B (across the street and a little bit cheaper). When you arrive, you're supposed to walk across the street and check in at Laurium. The very kind girl at the front desk informed us that we were the... More

Upside: great location to access the keewanaw peninsula, neat architecture and interesting history. Downside: large B&B equals many guests, buffet breakfast was surprisingly small (entire service less drinks fit on a 2 by 6 foot table), while well maintained all old buildings still have a certain set of issues. Overall: I believe most guests have a great experience. Based on... More

We really enjoyed our two nights at the Laurium Manor. Very impressive old building that retains a lot of the "flavor" from 100 years ago. Complaints about cracks in plaster and bathroom tile, lack of "spotlight" lighting, not following the cancellation policy when they could have filled rooms with customers?......boo hoo you other reviewers! Realistic expectations for me were more... More

If you make a reservation, be certain you keep it. My husband and I were delayed on our trip due to weather and needed to cancel our plans to stay at the Laurium Manor. I called three times and left messages to cancel and asked that a return call be made to confirm the cancellation was received. When the reservation... More

We recently spent two nights at the Laurium Manor Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the place. The staff was very pleasant. They went out of their way to guide us in our sight-seeing and in recommendations for places to eat. We had the master bedroom and it was spacious with a king bed and a double bed--which we didn't need but... More
