MANY MANY safety hazards at this hotel. SO many things were missing that are expected at a hotel, towels, kleenex, blankets. I would call to get it condemned, if it wouldn't put the Shelter overflow that live there full time on the streets again.

Our group reserved rooms by the pool for NYE and yet several of the members had to stay in outside rooms and away from the pool. It was nice, but it was extremely hot and the air conditioning didn't seem to work. The pool table only gave us 7 balls, so the 15 ball had to be used as the 8 ball. The pinball machine was very loud, and the floor was always wet. It was an ok stay overall.

Stayed two hours and that was too many as sex offenders and drug dealers populate this place where criminal activity is ignored by the place as that is the clientele that stays there. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at. The bathroom sink was stopped at and it wasn't fixed. The room was filthy-bugs, dirty walls, No cover on ceiling lights-bare fixture. waited 45 minutes for the front desk to find my room.

I was hesitent to stay here after reading all the reviews left. come to find out this hotel is a very comfortable place to stay. Hotel staff was very nice and accomadating. They had a lot of activities for the kids. I will definately visit the Avalon Hotel again.
