We stayed in the 4 bedroom about 2 years ago, and were happy. Large family all together, big family room with furniture instead of sitting on beds- it was great. And saved us from having to get 4 hotel rooms all the way in Marquette since we had family in Gwinn. Fast forward to August. We had 4 people this... More

Completely old school Air Force Barracks... As my hubby is a retired Air Force Staff Sgt, he REALLY loves it. We go up a couple times a year to visit family and we absolutely love the accomodations. Now, they always say, you get what you pay for, it is true, but this place is in the middle of no where,... More

I just got back from Costa Rica and rented a two bedroom rental for a month at Red Fox Inn in Gwinn, MI. The first rental had much space and was great. It was fully furnished. I won't say happened because I don't want people to take advantage of the kind management and staff but we were upgraded to a... More

This is a bare bones accommodation. It is the only place to stay near Sawyer Int'l Airport. Standard rooms have standard sized beds. To get a queen sized bed we had to rent a suite. This building used to be military barracks and the hotel isn't much of an upgrade. HOWEVER, the staff is VERY friendly and accommodating, and the... More

As anyone who's read my reviews knows, I'm a super picky traveler, but I went in expecting the absolute worst and I had a few surprises. I was forced to stay here because I have trouble driving at night and my flight landed at 9:30 pm or so and I needed to drive the next day to my final destination... More

I literally needed a place to take a nap while my vehicle was being fixed and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very inexpensive, clean and functional. The amenities such as the internet access and snacks were super. The staff was outstanding. This is the old VOQ when KI Sawyer was active.

We were to land in Green Bay but with fog we were diverted to Marquette, so we called about a room and I told the girl there was 2 of us and she quoted me one price and when we we got there another price, found out they changed the price on others stranded on that flight also. We had... More

This place gets NO STARS. Old army barracks. 2 buildings on this property, neither is well maintained. I know this because I refused to stay in the first one, the 2 bedroom apartment-style room. Dead bugs EVERYWHERE, in every room, in the fabric of the lampshades, under the beds, under the radiator, in the light fixtures, ON the light fixtures!... More

Great stay, they have many room types. We were a group of a couple families snowboarding. We had a four bed room suite, and two baisic rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable. In the basic rooms you do not share a room with anyone, you can rent out both side if you want otherwise the other one is blocked.... More

I am a flight attendant and I have stayed there many times. It is definitely not the Ritz, but it is clean and everyone is really friendly. The staff is really accommodating and the food is decent and affordable. I have only stayed in the two bedroom suites so I can only speak of them. But if you have children... More
