We spent a nice weekend here with our small baby and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere at this lovely b & b close to Traverse City. Relaxing and sweet experience for a small family.

We called ahead to let Helen know what time to expect us. When we arrived, she was waiting. The room was really nice and very comfortable. Both breakfasts were delicious. We stayed two nights and will be back again.

We had a great one-night stay in August at the Cairn House B & B. Helen was a great hostess and gave us excellent recommendations on local restaurants and attractions. She made us feel like we were at a home away from home.

This was our second stay at Cairn House for Fall Color Tours. Were we to list all of the positives it would most likely take up several pages. Suffice it to say, the Cairn House is all a Bed and Breakfast should be. We look forward to our return stay next Fall. Yvonne and David, Hartland, MI

The Cairn House B&B is a lovely home. Spotless, well kept, and within only a couple miles of charming Elk Rapids. Each room is uniquely decorated & has a private bath, all but one bath is ensuite. We went North without a hotel reservation and was directed toward the Cairn House. She helped us get reservations at Pearls and made a wonderful breakfast (which we ate out on the back deck). We checked in late and checked out early, but it was fun and I would certainly do it again.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The gathering areas (dinette, living room, kitchen, sun porch) are bright and cheerful. There are a wide variety of trees and flowers on the grounds.
