I consider myself a somewhat flexible traveler with an eye for good deals and a willingness to have low standards if the price is right. That being said, I would not recommend this HoJo to anyone who does not currently live in a 50 year-old trailer home with chain-smoking meth addicts... If that does describe you, then you'll feel right...

This was the last hotel my family stayed in during a 16 day trip to the US. I tried booking a Holiday Inn or Hilton but due to leaving it late, I couldn't get anything for 2 adults and 3 children apart from the HoJo.
The hotel was cheap - just over $100 for the night including breakfast whereas we...

Front entrance smelled funny. Parking lot needed to be mowed as tall weeds were growing up through the cracks. Sticky syrup-y substance on nightstand. Tried to wipe it off myself but did not have necessary cleaning supplies. Next day it was still there with pieces of napkin that I used to wipe it up. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This Howard Johnson's is in a run down area with a number of boarded buildings nearby. The lobby seemed ok, but the reception desk was unattended. Eventually a guy in jeans, t shirt and an earring came along to wait on us. Seemed very indifferent, offered no information about the facility/ pool, and even seemed a bit surprised we would...

About 1am the party started. My husband and I woke up to very loud music and noise in the parking lot. We looked out and there were MANY people all over the parking lot - and these people did not look friendly. Cars with boom boxes were everywhere. The people looked like gang members. There were these hordes of people...

Before staying here, you should know what you're getting into. This Howard Johnson hotel is probably at least 20-25 years old and has never been updated (except for the in room appliances). I would only recommend staying here if you can get a cheap rate (less than $50 per night) and you expect lower quality than a typical Holiday Inn...

We stayed with a teenager and baby for one night and it was disgusting. Not to mention the yellow crime scene tape hanging from a second floor room- I should've turned around and checked out but we were exhausted and there were no vacancies elsewhere. The wallpaper and drywall in one part of the room was coming down and there...

Stayed here only because it was the only hotel in the area with vacancy.

We booked this hotel just two days before the start of the July 4th holiday, so pretty much everything else was booked or wanted $200/night. We found the HoJo and booked for $100 for 3 nights - $34/night. For that price we certainly weren't expecting a Hilton or even a Holiday Inn and we can put up with a lot....
