I stayed at this hotel for business and it was a good experience. My non-smoking room did not smell like smoke. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant on site is fabulous. We were completely satisfied with the room and staff. We had a king suite and it was very clean. The breakfast was OK but nothing spectacular as the hot foods left a lot to be desired. Outside nice, Cajun restaurant great, people wonderful, large rooms, mattresses fantastic, breakfast so-so. No inside maintenance done evidently except in lobby area. Carpeting ripped and dirty. This hotel is awful. When we arrived we were told we had a studio suite. It is no different than a regular room. We were told there was a room divider, but we did not get that. The entire hotel smelled like stale smoke and is very dated. The doors to enter the hotel from the outside weren't locked. Hotel staff that we dealt with were not very friendly. The Gal at the Front Desk said they would honor the coupon rate, but offered me the Corporate Rate since I was in the area on business.
