If your typical vacation consists of renting a hotel room and never leaving it, then find another place. If, however, you are looking for a clean place to sleep after a long day of sight seeing, a place with a lounge and an extremely friendly staff, and a place that is extremely quiet and accomodating to the traveler, I can... more

..which might explain why we ended up here for our week in the Boston area. But, here we stayed...and it was oddly OK. The hotel is shabby on the outside, and shabby in the reception area. The room, however, was very clean and comfortable. Everything worked well and we had plenty of room. The location can't be beat for getting... more

Having grown up in neighboring town of Reading and since moved away - 40 years ago I thought that it would be fun to visit Wakefield on July 4th for the parade and fireworks that I remembered as spectacular. Neither the parade nor the fireworks disappointed me, but I stayed at the Lord Wakefield Hotel. Never Again!. I read the... more

My wife and I are senior UK citizens travelling on a budget. We chose this hotel for it's price, location and the fact that it was a Best Western property. We have since learned that it is no longer franchised by B.W. We stayed for a total of five nights, split into a three and a two at the start... more

We picked this hotel because of the low price and a special deal for a two night stay. BUT.... this hotel is old and run down and in serious need of a renovation - both inside and out. There was no sign on the actual building, but it kind of looked like the pictures I had seen so we assumed... more

Hotel is no longer a Best Western (which it was when we stayed there in 2007) and suffers as a result. Rooms were adequate for a one-night stay which was all we did there. The restaurant has been shut down. Staff not overly helpful. more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, but would not recommend it. If driving in the dark from the airport it is very dark and without the sat. nav. would have been lost for sure. Upon entering the hotel i was aware of how unclean the air felt, it was musty and smoky and also the same in the... more

First of all, I do not believe that this hotel is part of the Best Western Franchise any more. The signs for Best Western are all covered up which leads me to believe that this hotel has been disenfranchised. Now for the hotel itself. It is an old place. The outside is in need of some renovations for sure. Inside... more

I booked a 1 night stay at this hotel because it was a Best Western (and so would be of a guaranteed standard) and also because it is only 12 miles from the airport. Our flight was delayed 4 hours and so we ended up searching for the hotel in the dark - it was so poorly signed that it... more

We stopped at this hotel for one night and had booked a further three nights the following week (we were travelling up to New Hampshire for a few days). It was a very poor hotel, seedy, dirty looking - and no lift. The room was clean but again, it was well worn and overdue for a facelift. The air conditioning... more
