My parent's brought me here for lunch before a trip to the Louisa Alcott home. I thought the New England Clam Chowda and Lobster Roll were great, but what I liked best was the ambience. To think of all the people who have been through here, including me. Very serene atmosphere around the grounds, interesting just to walk around to... More

We celebrated our future son-in-law's breakfast this morning at the Wayside Inn. It's been a favorite family celebration venue for over 30 years but this was our first brunch. The brunch was wonderful. Every item was fresh and the and the service was excellent. Our favorite dishes included the prime rib, stuffed grey sole, the omlettes, and the best banana... More

We made reservations for a one night stay at the Wayside Inn for April 2012. The meals and meal service is still very good. Unfortunately, our room at the main Inn did not have internet service for our one night stay. The staff tried to fix the problem, but apparently was not successful. Also, our room did not have a... There was an early bird so price/value was great. Salad, dessert, and entree I had, salmon, was very good, but potato hard and flavorless.

I enjoyed a business lunch with colleagues at the Wayside Inn. Our local hosts brought us here for a touch of history and local culture. Amazing! From the historic grist mill, to the fire seared ceilings of this 18th Century Inn, it was a walk back through time. I highly recommend the Nantucket Lunchbox-- a cup of the best New... More

We had lunch today. Neither my boyfriend nor I have never been their before. What a great experience!!! Our waiter, Joe, was very accommodating and so were the other waitresses and host. We had several questions about the history of the property and they were very hospitable. Our meal was fantastic!! We dine out quite often, at least twice a... More

A wonderful place to stay especially room 9 or 10. Dinner is classic New England fare and the decor of the dining rooms provide a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your meal. After a hearty breakfast, take a walk around the grounds and enjoy the quiet of the morning. This is one of my favorite places to get away and relax.... More

I have enjoyed every aspect of this inn and its associate properties. As a history geek, I'm enthralled by the atmosphere, which is rich and vibrant and evokes a feeling of being in earlier times. The restaurant is wonderful, serving classic New England meals by warm and experienced servers at reasonable prices; the bake shop/gift shop has wonderful items for... More

A great place. We had a quiet beautiful room in the older part of the hotel, a wonderful evening meal after sitting and having a few pints in the bar. Highly entertaining bar staff. Great friendly and professional service everywhere. A stunning breakfast I had lobster cooked to perfection! Just a thoroughly enjoyable and fun stay.
