We stayed for New Years weekend so we could get away from everything. The people at the inn were very pleasant. The cleaning staff came every morning and did a wonderful job. There are several improvements that could be made. The furniture could be replaced. It is beginning to show wear. We ate at the restaurant on the first night.... More

Very charming from the outside, but the rooms are very outdated, bed was old and small, and the room had a musty odor. The strangest was the soap and shampoo dispenser on the wall in the tub. I've only seen that at the gym. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We didn't try the restaurant, but a continental breakfast... More

On a recent visit to the Chocksett Inn and Restaurant in Sterling, Mass, we came away very disappointed. After reading some of the other reviews, it would appear that we were not alone. If the owners of this restaurant want to discourage repeat business, they have succeeded. Needless to say, the service was atrocious and the dinner (when it finally... More

We got married here in October 2010. The actual wedding went off without a hitch, and made everything else worth it... I guess in the end that's all that matters. The facility and grounds are very nice. Perfect if you like classic New England and the fall. The really nice benefit for those interested is that its a rather new... More

Nice Inn for the money. However the queen size bed was so small that when the two of us were on the bed, my left hand was over the side and her right hand was also over the side. We are not large people. NO WAY CAN TWO PEOPLE SLEEP IN THIS BED. We asked for a larger bed-but we... More

I just organized a group of mixed media artists, and we stayed at the Chocksett Inn and then visited the nearby Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton, MA. We needed a nearby venue that had affordable lodgings and a roomy workspace for creating art. The Inn was all of that, and more. The staff could not have been more helpful,... More

I had the pleasure of attending my cousin's wedding at the Chocksett Inn in Sterling. I was pleasantly surprised that this quaint New England Inn was built in the 80's It looked like it had been there forever. Our room was cozy & nicely appointed. We relaxed for awhile then ventured down to the front desk to ask about local... More

We attended a wedding here that was beautiful! The staff were very friendly and courteous and went out of their way to be helpful! I recommend coming prepared for your own after-wedding party as there are minimal options for food and drinks at night. More

We made reservations for four on a Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. When we asked about the specials we were told that "We are changing our menu next week so there are no specials. We are just getting rid of what we have." The bread arrived.... four pieces in the basket... all dark no white. I asked for some white... More

I would not stay at this place again if they sent us vouchers to stay for free!! From check in until check out, the staff was rude and could care less if they helped you in any way. (I should have known when they charged my credit card months before we stayed there that this place was no good!) We... More
