I have been staying at the Summerhouse for years. Yes, it's expensive but u won't find another place like it anywhere and I have been everywhere. It's so nice to get out of the daily grind, tuck yourself away into a cozy cottage and truly enjoy and experience the true "Nantucket" way! The island itself has wonderful restaurants but the... In Sept, for $500 per night, you expect an exceptional place with exceptional service. They forced me to book for 3 nights not two over the weekend and if they did not have a Sat wedding it would have been empty. We could hear the wedding like it was in our room. They indicated total wireless access all over the... More

We rented a two-room cottage. Actually got to see another two-room cottage that friends were staying in. For $1000+/night, you would not expect dank, very rustic rooms, rusty and broken fixtures, lumpy beds. In two words, very tired. Staff (other than Eliot) was largely aloof and dismissive of requests. Guests spend a lot of time waiting on the one staff... More

Normally don't provide reviews - but after our experience at Summer House, we wanted to share our thoughts. Let's get the pro's out of the way. This is a beautiful setting for a hotel - a natural place looking out at the endless ocean. The food at the Bistro (beach side) is quite good, and the service was very quick... More

As you can be assured by my Trip Advisor profile; MTMB reviews, I have no hesitation writing a bad review when called for and have traveled extensively throughout the states and abroad with my husband and children. We have never stayed at a more charming, lovely place, ever, than the Summer House Inn located in the Siasconset corner of Nantucket... More

I stayed at the Summer House over Labor Day Weekend with two friends. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage which was absolutely adorable. The beds were so comfortable, great high thread count linens, spotless and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! We all agree, this weekend could not have been better! The restaurant was phenominal, staff went above and beyond at all... More

Forget that the meal was over $1,100 for 7 people and a shared platter for three gave 3 small oysters and three little neck clams each only a small ramekin of crab meat and another of lobster - but hey, we got a ton on ice with it. Forget that the waiter explained that there was no need to tip... More

We had a very poor service experience at the pool and restaurant at the Summer House Siasconset. And the food was just so-so and to top it all off they charged $20 for a kid's hamburger. Complained to the management about the experience and it took 1 month for them to follow-up after my repeated phone calls (manager never called... More
