We arrived at the Race Brook Lodge at night and were greeted to a warm welcome by Justin who gave us a nice tour of the lodge and some really helpful advice on places to eat. The room was a wonderful step back in time with its post and beam construction, wide plank floor, exposed wood and cozy feel. The... more

My family and I had a wonderful experience, breakfast was very good (all you can eat + the choice was amazing). The cottage we stayed in was very cute, and the location was good, remote enough to have a good sleep but close enough to main attractions (just 10 minutes away from Lenox). I would definitely recommend to stay there. more

Race Brook Lodge is our kind of place. Very relaxed, warm, inviting, and hip - where we were not afraid to wear our hiking boots in our room, and some folks wore pajamas to breakfast. We came in at night and it was not immediately evident where to check in. After some exploring, we found the back door to the... more

We just returned from Race Brook Lodge and can't wait to return! The location is GORGEOUS. We were 5 minutes away from the hike up to Bear Mountain. The main area is really cute and cozy, they have tea and coffee out 24/7, and a nice little "honor bar" area with snacks, wine and beer, all reasonable priced. Our bedroom... more

My husband and I went for a weekend this Fall. If you like low-key , cozy by a crackling fire - you'll love it. Definitely eat at the tavern on site. Delicious. We hiked up to the Race Brook Falls out behind the property. Amazing. The hosts and staff were kind and always available. Made things easy. Breakfast was organic... more

We were married at Race Brook Lodge in June 2008, so we consider ourselves experts on the place. We have stayed at the lodge 5 times, and each stay was in a different month of the year. We also inspected and booked out all 32 rooms for our family and friends. Race Brook Lodge is the real deal. It is... more

The place is a few small ranch houses spread around a green area with a main barn and restaurant. The green area was not nice to look at (the owners have lots of trash stored there, and a huge boat covered in tarps), so it feels less "lodge" or hotel-like, and more someone's yard-like. Homey, I guess. Also, there is... more

We stayed at Race Brook Lodge for one night while attending a wedding. I knew this place would be rustic- and it really was! I imagine that in the summer especially, the grounds are very nice. For us, it was kind of mucky and barren, but the weather leading up to the weekend wasn't great. The main building is so... more

If you, your partner, your kids or your dog want a homey, funky place to visit in the Berkshires consider staying at the Race Brook Lodge. On first reading other reviews it is hard to imagine how they could all refer to the same Inn. Having experienced the Race Brook Lodge and the adjoining Stagecoach Tavern first hand I think... more
