I loved the location, right on the beach. My room was lovely, double bedroom (Two beds), living room and kitchen, with a balcony - all with Cape style furnishings - like having my own apartment! I used the indoor pool and hot tub ( it was a little early to use the outdoor pool which looked really nice) until late... More

To clarify, this resort (and I use that term lightly) is a time-share property. I was shocked that the building we were in was on the third floor and that there was NO elevator. There was no mention of this in the confirmation we received in the mail and when we mentioned it, no offer of a change was made.... More

We came to Ptown this memorial day weekend and stayed at the Sandcastle. We were originally upset the second we walked through the door because our room was not the "dune view" we had paid for...instead it was the parking lot. The room was not the cleanest and there was no shampoo or conditioner and the towels were probably big... More

We apologize for your experience and acknowledge that there were a number of problems that proved quite difficult this past weekend. There was an unusual amount of "partying" that went on, far more than we normally experience. There were several guests who were informed that they would not be welcome back. Our resort security was overwhelmed and we have made... More

We had a one bedrom full kitchen unit. The bedroom was spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable. Our friend, who slept on the pull out couch, also was pleased with its comfort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Castle Grill provided tasty inexpensive food. The resort is a little too far from the center of Ptown for walkers, but... More

We have been “owners” at Festiva Resorts for almost three years, but have never been able to use our points because of the difficulty in booking, and because they increased how many points you need to travel somewhere. We finally booked a week at Sandcastle Resort just to use them up so we didn’t lose them, and lose more money... More

We remember your stay very well. You were very upset that we were unable to move you to an oceanfront room despite the fact that none were available. The room was not dirty. It was recently renovated and there is a new carpet, new flooring, new drapes, new dishes, glasses and silverware. The stove is older but it is in... More

Heat was a disaster, either too hot or freezing, electric baseboards ran under the head of the beds so pillows were hot! No coffee provided, or shampoo. Place looked like it was last remodeled in 1960. Beds were terrible to sleep in. Overall, not worth the money. No AC, no windows, so if it gets hot you have to sleep... More

We're truly sorry that you had such disappointing stay with us. Providing heat from an electric baseboard system is always a challenge. While we do not provide coffee, we have ordered shampoos, etc. for the bathrooms beginning this year. Although the resort was sadly neglected for the past twenty years, we have spent over $2,500,000 in renovations in the past... More

I have been visiting the Sandcastle Resort since I was a very young girl, every year in May. It has been nearly 30 years. This past visit was horrible. And, the years leading up to it were not condusive to sleeping, especially when 8 mo. pregnant. The beds are old, and horrible for sleeping. The front desk isn't that friendly,... More

The good: Beach on-site. Not crowded at all. Two pools on-site. Town shuttle bus stops right at the end of the drive. Easy to get to Ptown for $2 (each way) and avoid trying to find parking, which has gone up considerably even if you do find a place at a meter. If your a larger group family, then a... More

Thank you for your recent review of our resort. I wanted you to know that we heard a few similar complaints from other guests about two of our front desk staff. While we are closed this time of year, we have hired a new front desk manager who will be fully responsible for assuring our front desk staff performs in... More

This beach is great if you have children. The tide goes so far out it becomes miles of sandbar! Very fun to explore. But during hight tide the beach is dirty with washed ashore trash and seaweed - the resort does not clean it. The view from the room was spectacular . We had a bay front room and it... More
