The most comfortable bed ever...start there!
Add, the staff upgraded my room and it was quite spacious, clean, nicely appointed.
And then, pleasant, helpful staff. Any employee who so much as passed me in the hall said hello. Frontline staff members were amiable and ready to assist.
And the restaurant staff...the warmest group of folks I've ever met in the hospitality...

Our suite with jacuzzi and foreplace was great. If you do not mind table legs shaped as harps and mirrors with angel figurines.

About 3 years ago I visited the John Carver Inn for the New Year's Celebration down in Plymouth, MA. At the time, my family lived in town and inn was in an ideal location being minutes from the downtown area. Since I knew I would be staying there, I booked my room 4 months in advance to ensure I would...

Based on prior negative reviews, we were a bit apprehensive about our upcoming stay. However, we ended up being pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed ourselves. The big plus to this hotel is the location. It is easily walkable to the Mayflower, historic downtown shops, restaurants, waterfront, Plymouth Winery and other great historical sights. The hotel is family friendly...

We have stayed at the John Carver for the 'America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration' with our drum and bugle corps group almost every year since 1996. I have never been disappointed. The Carver is conveniently located for all the weekend's events and the staff has always been courteous and helpful. The pool is a pleasant feature that has been added since...

While the location of this hotel was perfect, that was unfortunately overshadowed by the high price of the room for what we received. The room was a basic double, looked like a basic hotel room, nothing special. It was poorly insulated, we could hear people in rooms next to us easily. The only way to stay comfortable was to crank...

We stayed here as part of a group. The exterior was very impressive but inside was a different kettle of fish! We were initially given a room overlooking a flat roof and a patch of rough grass at the back. We asked for a move and were told there were no other rooms available. The tour guide intervened and we...

We stayed at the John Carver Inn for five nights as part of an all-in package holiday. I really can't imaging what possessed the travel company to chose this hotel as a preferred choice in Plymouth, there must be better choices. It is a large building with a vast car park in front of it, located above Plymouth harbour (the...
