We were attending a trade show in Amherst a few miles to the south and this location was convenient. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and welcoming and the complimentary breakfast was more than sufficient. The bathroom was very nice with a huge walk-in shower. However, there was no hair dryer and the hottest the water got in the shower was lukewarm at best. On a cold January night in MA. a HOT shower would've been nice. Otherwise, no issues.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! The hotel itself was VERY clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. There is even a covered patio area to park bicycles at, as well as numerous electric vehicle charging stations! The manager, Ms. Ruby, made accommodations for me to stay an extended period while in the area for work, even though they were honestly sold out almost every weekend, and could have sold the room regardless!

NOT for guests who plan on any sleep. I was awoken by the guests next door in the middle of the night and the large party that ensued. Blaring music, several people banging on the doors, shouting in the room. I called the front desk for help. It is now almost 2 in the morning and still no relief. I am reserved for another night but will be canceling.

If you want your bed made up, door keys, waffle irons and TVs to work right, and a place for your valuables, find another hotel. We paid $300 a night (it was a popular weekend) only to return in the evening to an unmade bed. The explanation: Housekeeping only works every other day! Other things didn't work all the time either. The door repeatedly forgot our key card programming. Another guest complained that his TV wasn't working; apparently that was a common problem. The included breakfast was a continental buffet, with a bit less choice than typical (the only fruit was a bowl of apples and oranges) and a waffle iron that undercooked the waffles. The staff member I asked to turn down the television didn't understand English. And we wish there had been a safe in our room (although there is storage at reception). The staff is friendly and helpful, and it's a physically nice property, but falls short of a passing grade.

The service was absolutely shambolic but the pancakes were nice and the food overall was excellent that was the only bit i liked. i didn't even get given a key but the cleaner let me in. First look at my room i was flabbergasted by the smell, when i entered the bathroom the first thing in my sight was the abnormal placement of the shower and was falling off the wall. i noticed a stane in my bed it looked brown and it was all in my bed and i had to sleep on the floor was a dirty pillow on my head. The view was absolutely phenomenal i would only come back here for the view and the pancakes/food Thanks for the experience

Excellent Stay! Very friendly check in. Our room was in immaculate condition on check in, very clean! Appreciated the help from the front desk in printing out a document for me. Everything in sight was extremely clean and tidy! Breakfast very good. A one night stay, highly recommend!

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Northampton. MA for my daughter's wedding which was held nearby. The hotel was clean, well kept, breakfast was good and plentiful and parking was easy and convenient. We had many of our family stay there as well and they all stated what a nice hotel it is. We were told room servicing was available by request when we checked in which seems to be "the norm" for most hotels these days after the pandemic. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel and I'm sure we'll be back.

I choose this hotel based on the Marriott name affiliation. It is located about 5 minutes outside downtown Northampton Ma. I know it is a college town area but the rate soared from $179 per night on Thursday to $379 for Friday night and $409 for Saturday night. The “embarrassing” thing is that they don’t empty the trash or bring fresh towels during your stay. When I complained upon departure I was told it was “because of the pandemic” and that if I had asked IN ADVANCE they would have done it. I have to ask in advance at a Marriott? I have to ask at $379 and $409 a night in rural Western Massachusetts? This is not Manhattan or San Francisco we’re talking about. They are not short staffed like some facilities are, I witnessed 3 housekeeping staff in my hallway on Friday morning and 2 more on Saturday morning. It would have taken 60-90 seconds to bring fresh towels and empty the trash. Management is still using the pandemic excuse in October 2022 to pinch penny’s and it results in sub-standard service. On check-in they stress the Smart TV in your room offers valuable information. There is a “tab” to click on for important amenities like dining, pool, attractions, security etc. So why doesn’t it post the hours of the free breakfast? I missed breakfast the first morning by 5 minutes. Why doesn’t the pool tab show that the pool is closed, for no apparent reason, it looks appealing, just like the website. After my stay I checked older reviews and the pool was closed BEFORE the pandemic too. Hmmm, constant cost cutting again? Give me a break, Marriott should be embarrassed take the pool pictures and pool amenity off the website. Breakfast was horrible, not up to previous Marriott standards. The “cage free egg” tablets were inedible, maybe something from a nearby 1980’s college dining commons? This is a poorly run hotel squeezing every possible $ from their customers. Marriott should be embarrassed. Why doesn’t the TV indicate that the pool is closed, for no apparent reason, by the way?

This hotel has more thoughtful design details than most in this price point. Put together, they made our stay perfect. The rooms are very large and spacious, with a separate living area and tv even at the cheapest rooms. The couch was comfortable, and had TWO little tables you could pull up and work/dine/etc at, so my husband and I each had our own space. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of outlets. The bathroom was a big highlight though. It was quite large, with a shower that seemed magical. First, it never fogged the bathroom mirror— even after back to back showers. If that wasn’t sorcery enough, it also managed to have a good stream of water pressure with shelves and soap ledges that were put up out of the way so the spray didn’t drench or erode our bath products. The comfortable room was capped off with quality AC, which we appreciated on the 90+ degree days. The location is great, just off I-91 and very close to dozens of restaurants and shops. The pool is super small, but decently managed. Breakfast and electric car charging are also provided. If there was one detail I’d suggest, it would be to add a makeup mirror and/or better bathroom lighting. You can’t go wrong with this hotel. I loved it!

Very Clean room and saw and heard vacuuming in room/hallway. So definitely cleaning well in between guests. Quiet night despite being full hotel of wedding guests. Beds were a bit saggy and was hard to get comfortable. The linens could be replaced as one set of sheets was very pill-y. Also would not give 4 stars as the breakfast very on the cheap/processed side and ran out of coffee twice. And no one was actively servicing the area. Also the pool area was unkept with empty beer can from night before. Pool was very small so my big kids didnt want to bother. A solid stay despite a few negatives. At least it was clean!
