We stayed at Kalmar for a family wedding. As a wedding venue, it's wonderful! As a resort, not so much. Our efficiancy room was very small and dated. The lamps were rusty, sheets and bath towels were yellowed, hair in the shower, yellowed shower curtain, bathroom door didn't close all the way, flying bugs in the room, no heat. We were given a space heater and that was adequate. We weren't in our room much, so that was good.

Love Kalmar - have been staying here for years. It's a charming, low key place on the beach - with a great pool. It's not fancy, it's a little dated - but a special, fall-in-love with place. Very clean, comfy. Great owners. Love it here!

Another beautiful year at Kalmar village! This year we forgot window fans but the staff at Kalmar was more than willing to bring us some large window fans. If you are looking for a family fun week you should stay at Kalmar Village. The rustic, cozy cabins located right on the Provincetown bay. Beautiful sunsets behind the Pilgrim Monument. Boardwalks down to the beach with a volleyball net and a staff ran fire almost every night. The pool this year was the perfect temperature to cool off in the humid weather. Kalmar village has been my happy place for years! Thank you to all the staff and owners of Kalmar!! See you next year!!

Great low key spot, right on the water. No air conditioning, but it’s part of the charm. It is wonderful waking up and walking that beach. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you for many great stays. Can’t wait for the next time. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Eight trips in seven years. Hopefully many more. We love the beach, the pool, the campfires at night, seeing friends from prior years and the feeling of being away from it all, with the excitement of Provincetown only a couple miles away. Dave, Mark and team always do a great job of making us feel welcome. As soon as we leave, we look forward to coming back!

Absolutely adorable campy type cabins. Clean and no musty smells. Comfortable bedding. Housekeeping so cheerful and accommodating. Great location, great pool. Such a pleasant place to stay. We stayed a week. Spent days at Race Point Beach, came back and enjoyed the pool before dinner. Evenings spent on the Kalmar beach on the bay. Nice fire pit there at night. Owner friendly and also accommodating. Anyone who lets their dog sleep in front of two fans is alright in our book. Can’t wait to go back. It was our 3rd time staying there.

Our cottage was rundown. It needed repairs, locks didn't work and all the furniture needed replaced. There was mold one one of the shower curtains, other than that fairly clean. Outside weeds needed to be pulled and there were dead plants in the pots. Some of our friends cottages were better, I think they were newer ones.

We just absolutely LOVE it here at Kalmar! This will be our 13th season returning EVERY single summer as it is our family highlight in ten days of pure heaven! Coming from NYC we just cannot rave enough about this location! Anything you need Dave (owner) will help source for you! Coffee pot, large mugs, an extra large propane BBQ for Lobsters, just anything! This summer get away is such a highlight for our family. We always see returning families each year and socialize with everyone there! Mark, Dave, Judy in housekeeping - everyone takes such pride and care to ensure a great stay!!! Cannot wait to go back this August!!!

We stayed at Kalmar Village for four nights at the end of August. The location and pool and access to beach and Provincetown were great. The folks who ran it did all they could to provide you with what you needed. However, this property has many problems: It is advertised with air conditioning which was not the case. There is no air conditioning in any of the cabins. As well, the listing indicated a queen bed. Our unit had a small double bed and twin. The cabin was stifling, even with a fan running. Sleeping at night was impossible. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. There was no place to comfortably sit back and relax. The kitchen is too small to do any real cooking in. Kitchen is far from a fully equipped kitchen. It's a half-galley kitchenette. It contains a refrigerator that's too small for the sleep 6 listing. The refrigerator is also old and doesn't quite keep things cold enough. There is no dishwasher. The kitchen's stocked with a mismatch of plates cups and glasses. The “free Wi-Fi” is almost non-existent—it is very slow, e.g., 1 megabyte per second and unreliable. Streaming anything was impossible.…

I have been coming to Kalmar Village with my family for going on 19 years. The memories I hold here are priceless. The relaxing ocean breeze with the private beach right at your fingertips makes for an amazing vacation. I have always stayed in the cottages, their rustic, beach feeling is perfect for a getaway on the Cape. Kalmar is conveniently located to Provincetown only a 5 minute drive! But if you don’t want to drive there is a bus stop right out front. This place feels like a second home for a week out of each summer! If you are looking for a fun, relaxing, family environment Kalmar has all to offer!
