Chuck and Anne made themselves very available and helpful. The B and B is near a charming area to walk and an easy walk to the center. I felt very at home there and comfortable.

Seriously, the view out the back is of a water treatment facility (not exactly what I imagined when they said water view). The owners are very nice, former peace corp folks, but I found their views on Africa and Africans disturbingly colonial-sounding, though I'm sure they mean well. Newburyport, on the other hand, is simply lovely, and the Indian restaurant...

Chuck and Anne are wonderful hosts - picked me up where I was dropped off in Newburyport and took me to 167! I had a wonderful night sleep in the Sorrento room, overlooking the water in back. It was my second stay; the water plant in back has been upgraded and now I just think of it as part of...

We stayed five nights. It's a charming home with nice, comfortable rooms. Anne and Chuck are very hospitable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the quaintness of Newburyport as well as the beauty of Plum Island - not to mention the seafood! We bought a couple of huge steamed lobsters at the grocery store along with some sides(per...

We stayed for two nights at 167 Water, and it was perfect. The owners are really nice. The rooms are big and nicely decorated. It's like staying in somebody's spare bedroom instead of in a b&b / hotel. The breakfast was nice too.
We occupied one of two very comfortable rooms, our host helped carry two very heavy bags to our room, and our hostess presided over a marvelous breakfast. The walk to the shopping area in Newburyport was under fifteen minutes through a very pleasant neighborhood. The friendliness of our host and hostess was outstanding!
So we arrived at the water street B&B and welcomed by Chuck and Anne, charming well knowledge couple. Our stay was for only one night, attending wedding in Tops Field mass. Figured we could spend the Saturday at the wedding and use the Sunday to tour Newburyport and plum Island.
The B&B was built back in 1845, and she is...

Outside, fences and shrubs and statuary help in adding effect to what may be a "postage-stamp lot." Although Newburyport is home to less than 20,000 people, the block of Water...

I'd like to start off by saying that Chuck and Anne were graceful and pleasent hosts of this small B and B on the edge of town in Newburyport. The proximity to town, price, and the other reviews were the reasons for the choice for our one night stay on our drive down the NH and north MA coast.
That...

Very nice hosts, charming decor, great location. Easy walking distance to downtown (less than 10 min walk). Would recommend at twice the price.
