My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and totally loved our stay!!! Susan is an absolutely wonderful host and very welcoming and accommodating. We could not have asked for more. The room was lovely and had a very comfy bed. The location is perfect and everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was great but the conversation with Susan and John was the best part!!! Thank you Susan for opening your home to us and for all you did to make our stay unforgettable!!!

My husband and I had a relaxing and comfortable overnight stay at Harborside House. Susan was a gracious host. Her home was charming and accommodating in every detail. The location was fabulous. It was great to be in the center of the historic district and walk everywhere. Susan provided maps and suggestions for local restaurants and attractions. This B&B was a great find.

Our stay here was our 1st stop on our New England trip - we travelled as a couple, our stay was in Sept 2018. What a great start to our holiday. Susan the owner was delight to meet and chat with. The room we had was clean and beautifully furnished - had everything we needed, Susans home made breads for breakfast were delicious - a great start to the day. Marblehead itself is a fascinating little town in it's own right - also it's close to many other interesting places to visit. Lot's of good places to eat in easy walking distance - again Susan was very helpful with suggestions. Wouldn't know how to fault this B&B - thanks for a great 3 night stay.

Last weekend I stayed at this charming bed and breakfast in historic downtown Marblehead. From the moment I got there I was treated like a queen.. Susan (the owner) was so very hospitable.. she had a welcome note on the door for me as I walked in (good luck getting that anywhere else in the world !!), and there was an assortment of cookies, tea, etc in a lovely- furnished dining room as I made my way into the house .. the antiques and furnishings are true to the rich history of the town — The house is so beautiful it’s like being back in the 1850’s. Yet there are the modern conveniences of good WiFi, every toiletrie you would ever need, easy parking, etc.. I was in a rush to go to my reunion festivities but I would have loved to spend more time sitting and reading in her beautifully- furnished and decorated living room facing the harbor.. Wow- what a view ! The atmosphere is so warm at the Harborside House — it was like home ! My bedroom was overlooking the gorgeous Marblehead harbor and out my window was an incredible view.. When I went to bed at night I actually heard the waves lapping the shore out my window — no Brookstone sound machine needed here to help me sleep :) I’m a city girl and this was a much needed weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Boston.. although I was only an hour and a half away from my home this was like being at a resort far away! The breakfast the next day was outstanding - delicious home made breads , beautiful fresh berries, awesome coffee , fresh OJ, and best of all, the chance to chat with Susan, who is so hospitable, kind and caring and like a member of my family.. I highly recommend the Harborside House - a true gem and thank you Susan for an amazing stay!

I recently spent two nights at Harborside House and highly recommend it -especially for the solo female traveler. Susan is an ideal host and serves a wonderful breakfast with a view of the harbor in her elegant dining room. A great location, too, for a short walk through streets filled with adorable cottages to great restaurants.Don't pass up this gem!

I have stayed at Harborside House many times over the years and have loved it every time I've had the pleasure of spending time at Susan's charming home. "My" room was comfy, cozy (love the blanket), clean, and quiet and the bed was the perfect firmness. Providing yummy fleece robes is a lovely touch, as are the chocolates in the bedroom and the living room, and the freshly baked molasses cookies my niece and I enjoyed. Breakfast was not only delicious, but beautifully presented, making the meal an event. Most of all, Susan's warmth and friendship make this more than just a house - it is a haven.

Took two 8th grade girls to stay for a weekend in October while touring Salem. The house and it's owner were both lovely. The girls said it was the prettiest room they have ever stayed in. Charm-filled and convenient location to Salem and the beautiful beaches. Susan was delightful and thought of everything we could have needed. She prepared a beautiful breakfast with greek yogurt, berries, coffee, OJ, and cider donuts from the local farmer's market. Would definitely go back.

I stayed at Harborside House with my sister and brother in law during the first few days of October. Our host Susan prepared our stay in every detail, right up to fresh food, beverages and home made goodies in the fridge. As she was traveling abroad herself, she made sure her neighbor Charlene was there to check on us -bringing warm brownies as a welcome! Susan had left notes everywhere, so that we found our way easily. Cozy rooms made this our home away from home, and a wonderful base from which to explore Marblehead and environs. We especially enjoyed having a nice hot tea in the garden in the afternoon. If you want to get away from impatient Boston and do not want to travel far, Harborside House is your destination. Tranquility, comfort, and the relaxed pace of life will make one forget city life within hours.
