We planned on visiting Marblehead over the holidays and wanted something different from the usual B&B experience. We found the Admiral's House after calling the Harbor Light Inn. We told them that we really wanted privacy and preferably a suite with kitchen facilities. They recommended the Admiral's House which was on a side street close to everything. It was just what we had in mind. The apt is located in an historic house with its own garden and entrance. We loved the nautical decor, right down to the teak floor in the kitchen. There is a working fireplace in the living room and the sofa is a pullout queen for guests which we fortunately never needed. The bedroom hs a queen four poster and the bath had a Jacuzzi. We wanted to cook for our selves and entertain some local friends occaisionally and this was the ideal place for us.
