We stayed 2 nights in this excellent B&B. Phil and Linda were more than accommodating with any request that we made and their jovial personalities went a long way in our enjoyable stay. They even waited up for us as we arrived a little late on Friday night and were genuinely worried about our drive in a terrible storm! Our... more

My wife and I and our 16 year old daughter spent two nights in Phil and Linda's Inn during a sightseeing tour of New England. Brook Farm Inn is a beautiful home close to the centre of historic Lenox. We were all made very welcome, arriving just in time for tea and scones. Our spacious room at the top of... more

I am not sure what the negative reviewers are saying. This place has nice rooms (small, but tastefully decorated, with a fireplace), and a great staff. Phil and Linda helped us when our car broke down, driving us to dinner (!) and arranging for the owner of the restaurant to drive us back! They recommended places to go, made dinner... more

Although my most recent stay at Brook Farm Inn was on my own, my husband and I have both been guests of Phil and Linda's in the past and we agree that this inn represents all that we could possibly ever want in away-from-home accommodations. The innkeepers are very gracious and attentive to one's needs without being intrusive. The inn... more

My wife & I have been visiting the Berkshires for many years . We have stayed at many B&B's with mixed results. Last year I found Brook Farm Inn on the internet and decided to stay with them. It was the most enjoyable experience we ever had at a B&B. We returned this year to the same relaxing environment with... more

In short, the innkeepers seem to be very stingy in their maintenance of this B&B. I thought that by paying more than $350 per night, the guests deserve better accommodations, meals/guest pantry, and more friendly innkeepers. Let's start with the buggest problem: the food. Breakfast is served "buffet" style, which means a communal pot of 1 hot item, a communal... more

Management response from
Innkeepers18, owner

Our goals are to make guests feel comfortable and to help them enjoy their Berkshires experience. We try to be available for advice and friendly conversation – and yes, with a sense of humor -- but also not to intrude if a guest seems to need more privacy. So it’s with regret that we discover our goals haven’t been met...

From the first moment on we (a familiy of four with teenagers 10 and 14) felt not only welcomed but like at home. Phil and Linda Halpern make the Brook Fam Inn a perfect place to be. No wonder that it attracts very nice and open people. We'll come back - for sure! more

Stayed at Brook Farm Inn October 2009 and can't recommend it highly enough. The inn is located on a quiet residential street but is very close to downtown Lenox Mass and to Tanglewood. Innkeepers Phil and Linda were wonderful and welcoming, offering me a cuppa tea even though I arrived well after tea-time (which is offered every afternoon to guests).... more

A great Inn. Our trip was pre-booked by our travel agent and we got the smallest room with a tiny bathroom. Next time we would ask for a larger room - they did look great when we peeked in. The welcome was warm and homely, complementary tea and scones at 4pm. Coffee available before breakfast time and a good buffet... more

My husband and I have stayed at several B&B and many other locations in the Lenox/Stockbridge area over at least 2 decades .. during all seasons .. i.e. skiing, foliage, lazy summer etc. These days, we especially enjoy summer concerts at Tanglewood and fall concerts at South Mountain. We returned again this year to Brook Farm Inn, where the the... more
