Great Japanese breakfast, nice host family, good location, easy parking, funky pleasant room. Perhaps the most interesting Inn in the area. More

As a frequent business traveler I stay in a lot of hotels, many of which are actually quite good. When my employer booked me into the Kaede Bed & Breakfast in Ipswich, I was a bit apprehensive, after all I have come to enjoy the comfort of modern hotels. I have to say not only was I pleasantly surprise, but... More

Our stay at Kaede was delightful. It is in a nice location next to the town green and has the authentic New England feel to it. The room was very pleasant and the innkeepers Jason and Makiko are a delight. We opted for an authentic Japanese breakfast and Makiko outdid herself. It was delicious and a real treat. I would... Helpful and pleasant hosts. Great breakfast, both American traditional full breakfast (with choices) and then Japanense style next morning, very good. Nice location right in town. More

We spent a weekend in Ipswich for a wedding and I wanted somewhere close by and unique. That's what led me to TripAdvisor and Kaede B&B. I liked the options of the different themed rooms. The one I chose, Kaede, was spacious and comfortable. Jason and Makiko were gracious hosts and were able to provide good suggestions for things to... More

My wife and I stayed here in August 2010. We had a very lovely time and would DEFINITELY stay here when staying in Ipswich. Jason the owner took my wife and I on a tour of the city. Makiko prepared us a perfect breakfast. Jason & Makiko thank you very much for such a lovely stay in Ipswich. We look... More

Great location right in town (which is a quiet getaway away from more touristy MA areas). Owners laid back and friendly, rooms comfy combination of New England/Japan with a/c. Any breakfast choice is great, but try the Japanese breakfast at least one day of your trip. More

The breakfast was amazing! Pumpkin pancakes, fruit bowl, and they were willing to mix and match from entree's offered. The innkeeper and his wife were very sweet, and hospitable. The accomodations were just okay. Being an old building, there is little sound barrier between the rooms/hallways/other rooms. We heard other guest come in at 1am, and you can hear anyone... More

A charming B&B. The hosts are generous with their time and offer helpful suggestions. Just a 3-minute walk from town and right across from the Ipswich public library. Also a 10-minute drive to Crane Beach, which is clean, 4 miles long and was sparsely populated on a late-August weekday. A good area for cycling and kayaking. Thursday night summer concerts... More

We were in the area for an engagement party and stayed only one night. I found Kaede B&B on Trip Advisor and after reading all of the positive reviews, decided to book a room. My husband, who in the past has not enjoyed B&Bs went along reluctantly.Well, I must tell you that we both absolutely enjoyed this experience and highly... More
