My extended family stayed at this inn so we attend a cousin's wedding. We booked up almost all the rooms six months in advance. I found the host to be less than friendly, and sometimes downright rude. On a weekend when both the temperature and the humidity were in the high nineties, he informed us apon arrival that there was... more

We stayed here as part of our visit to New England. To say the Inn is quirky is putting it mildly. The Inn is stuffed with ornaments and paintings which are animal linked and has a ghost called Susan. As we were visiting from the UK, the Innkeeper Bill has asked us to bring some Malt Whisky over - no... more

We have been coming to this Inn for a few years, and always find the same friendly service from Bill. This time especially, we really enjoyed sitting around the living room with other guests comparing notes on our day and exchanging stories. Bill always makes it very comfortable to stay here, and we keep coming back. more

We stayed for two nights at the Simmons Homestead, picked it after checking on here and also after having a lengthy email conversation with the owner Bill, mainly about what whiskey to bring! The inn itself is a lovely old building which houses the main living room (where wine hour is held, and you can just sit in the evening... more

the place was very dirty. His quarters that house his malted scotch collection and his 3 dozen cats has the most unbelievable cat urine odor. Couldn't wait to get home to shower and wash our clothes. Should not be listed in any B/B booklets! more

My wife and I spent four nights at Simmons and could not have enjoyed our stay more. The innkeeper, Bill is a gracious and knowledgeable host. He not only pointed out numerous points of interest throughout the Cape, but also saved us at least $100 during our trip with simple tips like where to park for free four blocks from... more

Clean, rustic, charming place. Bill is a wonderful host, friendly, open, accomodating, gives honest advice re: what to do/ where to go. Rooms are interestingly animal themed. MUST LIKE CATS (there are at least 20 on the property). Will definitely go back. more

The enthusiasm of the website drew me to calling Bill, innkeeper of sorts. He is a blast! Down-to-earth guy with numerous interests and experiences making our stay at his "homestead" wonderful. He is filled with the knowledge of the cape, as well as all of Massachusetts! Had all kinds of print-outs for wherever you wanted to go in Mass. The... more

Do not stay here unless you are a cat cat lover. The smell of cats is everywhere. The room resembled a jungle scene with large plants everywhere. Bathroom towels were filthy. Bedsheets smelt musty. Grossly overpriced. Would not recomend this place to my worst enemy. A true nightmare. I wonder does anybody from the Chamber of Commerce ever examine the... more

I had to be in Hyannis to participate in a charity bike ride, I booked this inn for 2 main reasons, the location was less than 2 miles from the ride finish line at Craigville Beach and the inn allowed my wife and I to bring our small dog. What impressed us most about our 2 night stay was the... more
