We loved the quiet location of the Inn Magnolia with its giant trees and gorgeous rhododendrons. Eager for a walk after check-in, we couldn't have been happier with the innkeeper's suggestions. We found the local beach and a nature trail adjacent to it which led to the site of a former estate with breathtaking views of the ocean. Once back... More

I have been staying at the Inn Magnolia, and before that, when it was the White House, for many years. I don't usually write reviews, but Amanda, the owner, mentioned she had gotten some poor ones so I wanted to add my own. First of all, the place has vastly improved since she took over several years ago. It is... More

I cannot even speak of the hotel- I could not make it past the booking phase with the owner of Inn Magnolia. I had read reviews saying she was unreasonable if questioned, and thought that maybe the guests were being irrational. I guess the guests that had problems with the owner weren't all that unreasonable. When you book a room,... More

My husband and I stayed overnight at Inn Magnolia. We were greeted warmly and left to stroll the property, play banjo on the porch, or chat with Amanda and other guests. Though our stay was brief, I can't think of any reason not to recommend this lovely New England Inn, a little tucked away, but we liked that, too. Our... More

I couldn't resist a deal I found online from the Living Social website and I, therefore, booked a weekend away last weekend. It was a gorgeous bed & breakfast that we came upon! I can't comment on the breakfast because with the Living Social deal we did not receive a hot breakfast. That was fine, but I very much look... More

Thank you Heidi! Very kind of you to write us a review! I just want to make one little correction if you don't mind: we do have hair dryers -- you just need to ask for them. You don't have to arrange for them in advance. And please don't feel that the discount excluded you from anything -- we don't... More

We stayed here the weekend of March 2nd, 2012 with a groupon deal to celebrate our anniversary and we really enjoyed our stay. My husband had a late meeting at work and so we were not able to arrive until 8pm and the innkeeper, Amanda, was incredibly accommodating. Our room was spacious, but incredibly cold upon arrival, since the heat... More

We stayed at this place (I can't call it an Inn as that would be too complimentary). Amanda was abrupt whenever I spoke to her but the gentleman with her was more pleasant. We stayed a for two nights August 10, 11 2011. The room (#7) was a throw -back to the 60s but not in a good way. When I... More

Sigh, a fine example of “no good deed goes unpunished.” This guest was a discount voucher-holder, and was supposed to have completed his stay before Memorial Day, but because it was our first internet deal and he was one of the first people to contact us when the deal ran, I agreed to let them come at the height of... This B&B is beaufiful. Glouchester is a very cute little town. Amanda has done a beautiful job of very tastfully decorating and keeping it super clean. Everyone at the B&B was very kind. Amanda was even kind enough to give me a ride to the train station one day. My room got a little cold at times but Amanda gave... More

Seriously Don't Bother ! There has to be other places in the area that have better accommodations ! Not only is it extremely overpriced but it smells awful ! Truly a terrible moldy smell throughout the entire building ! The Beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in ! The site online falsely advertises this as a quaint... More

We stayed at the Inn Magnolia for one night. I must admit we arrived about 20 minutes after Amanda's 18:00 hours deadline since we were caught in terrible, rainy weather. On our arrival I found an envelope stuck to the door "scolding" us for our late arrival and instructions about our rooms, breakfast, etc. On the other hand, we found... More
