I spent 7-23-09 to 7-25-09 in this beautiful B&B with wonderful surroundings and owners. I really felt at home, here. Each day started with a walk out to the gazebo over a manicured lawn followed by a family-style breakfast and great conversation at a large dining room table along with other guests. The owners, Rene and Charlene could not have... more

The inn itself is lovely and well-appointed, with elaborately pained rooms and a decent breakfast. Unfortunately, you have to pay for all this by listening to the very friendly owner talk nonstop. Really, he doesn't let you go. But if you're a genial, chatty type, by all means stay at this lovely inn. more

If you ask about the Cape or Falmouth, about the history of the house or things to do, day trips and such, we research and respond. By the way, I am written up by name all over Europe as "the jovial innkeeper on the Cape". I guess the experience couldn't have been that bad if it took over a year...

When we checked in, the hostess said we could have coffee early (prior to their 7-9am breakfast time) by preparing single cups ourselves, and showed us how to do that. First morning, black coffee, fine. Then Rene appeared and said coffee is only served after 7am. Second morning, no pods for coffee available. When we asked, we were told that... more

Drinking 4-6 cups of coffee before 5:30AM and waking up the other guests in a caffeine induced frenzy while chain smoking on the porch (not allowed for years) to the point of stinking up the Inn and causing other guests to complain, is not my idea of an ideal guest. Let alone the special food we bought for them as...

It is hard to believe the outstanding reviews Mostly Hall has . The place is adequate, far from spectacular as most reviews suggest. It makes me wonder how objective the reviews are. The breakfasts are ok, if you don't mind eating at the exact time given by the innkeepers and eating family style with the other guest. The rooms are... more

Unreliable reviews are indeed out there, such as this one. We had no guests from NJ in October but did in September so this reviewer can't even remember their time of stay. While we do not have a specific breakfast time, we do have a window of time when we do serve breakfast. We always verify for preferred time as...

I have stayed at Mostly Hall twice - both times on business in Woods Hole and I always recommend it to my colleagues. Great location, wonderful rooms and grounds, walking distance to restaurants, friendly and helpful owners. I won't be staying anywhere else when visiting Woods Hole/Falmouth if I can possibly help it. more

Mostly Hall is a nice B&B near downtown Falmouth. The main drag is within walking distance, and the property has a nice large garden surrounding it. The owners are very friendly and will give maps and suggestions. Our room was nice, we were in the Tuscany room which had a mural painted on it to resemble an Italian garden. For... more

I had a Swim Meet in Buzzard's Bay, and needed a place to stay for the weekend. I booked this B&B from browsing their website. The two owners were exceptional in their service, their manners and the breakfast which was served. They were extremely polite and offered a great deal of information on the local restaurants. The rooms were all... more

Our first experience with Mostly Hall was back in August 2007. We stayed 3 fantastic nights. It was by far the best place we ever experienced. The accommodations were beautiful and the atmosphere made us feel like we were royalty. The rooms were perfect and even the shower! The service and care were above and beyond our expectations. My son... more

We had stayed 22 nights due to a business trip I was on. While there, we were provided an ample breakfast, good suggestions for local attractions and restaraunts, and Rene shared the rich history of the home with us. I was accomondated for my needs going out early in the am and coming back late. The room was very nice... more

This was in all certainty the WORST B+B we have ever stayed in. The owner (Rene Poirier) was so offensive, accusing us in front of other residents, without any base, of something we had not done: using the bathroom of one of the bedrooms in the middle of the night. If we had not had such a tight schedule we... more

Peoples memory changes after a year. The incident took place the second night of a four night stay - why did they stay on? What I should've done was asked them to leave. There was one older couple in a first floor room as they were physically unable to navigate the 21 stairs to the second floor where this only...
