The Seafarer is very economical and in a great location near the Center of Chatham. We travelled from South Hadley and stayed for 2 nights. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. My husband took advantage of the location to go for a run on the beach. Annie, the owner, is friendly and helped us to... More

I stayed in the Chatham Seafarer for three nights at the beginning of this September 2011. The reason for the trip was a wedding taking place at a golf resort at the other side of town. The handstencilled room was charming with tea and coffee facilities at the ready. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever... More

My family and I stayed at Chatham Seafarer the first week in August 2011 for 4 nights to celebrate my daughter's second birthday. Then, we drove up to Boston for the rest of our week long family vacation - - more on that later. Check-in at Chatham Seafarer was a breeze. Annie the owner was so friendly, especially to our... It's hard to find a hotel/motel in Chatham for one night during the summer rush but the Chatham Seafarer offered a decent room fairly close to town center. The bathroom was quite small and cramped for the 4 of us, but for one night, it work just fine. The room was clean and the beds were comforable.

A wonderfully unpretentious old-school motel outside of downtown Chatham. Not a chain, this mom and pop operation has a delightfully personable owner/manager who ads a bit of a European flair to old Cape Cod. We loved it!

We stayed at the Chatham Seaferer motel for 5 nights on a family vacation. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the manager/owner really makes the guests feel welcome. The motel grounds include very nice swimming pool and is surrounded by beautiful trees. Location is very convenient to the beach (15 minute walk ),... More

My husband and I spent this past Memorial Day weekend at this quaint motel in Cape Cod and we absolutely loved it. Even though it is located off the main road, it is a very quiet and relaxing place. Our room was airy, clean and light, the bed was very comfortable. Based on a couple of previous reviews we were... More

We stayed in this Motel for 4 nights, and had a wonderful experience. We were gracefully welcomed by the French owner who is very outgoing and ready to share the secrets of the neighborhood. October is quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed the peace of beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beddings which parallel what you find... More

We had room 3.Web site is misleading for the rooms. It was a very old room, Tag sale furniture that was chipped, very uncomfortable bed, walls that were paper thin. Our car broke down late Saturday afternoon, we had to get it towed back to the hotel, when my husband went into ask the foreign manager if she could suggest... More

Unfortunate to react in such a way. Annie is French, and also an owner, check out all previous reviews as to how helpful she is, and I would venture to say, that our guest might have been just a bit upset about the circumstances hampering their vacation. # 3 is a sought after room, and has a new king bed.... Overpriced, worn-down, unresponsive manager, close-to-highway. Chatham Seafarer is marked by scuffed and chipped paint, obsolete equipment, small rooms, inadequate bathroom shelves and hooks, tattered towels, torn wash cloths, inoperative exterior lamps and missing downspouts spouting rainwater randomly. The website pictures are deceiving and the feigned charm of the manager does not make up for short-comings.

Wow... Just a bit harsh, considering the majority of the previous reviews. Can only associate such negative feedback being made due to unpleasant weather, which obviously put a damper on guest stay. Room price was also off season rate! More
