The Wood Duck Inn is just what you want in a waterside B&B: Quaint, clean, filled with the fragrance of tempting baked goods. We spent a great deal of time enjoying the breeze on the screened porch. Our only regret was that we couldn't staythrough the weekend and enjoy the gourmet dinner. Judging from the breakfasts, it must be terrific.... More

We've been to Maryland's Eastern Shore many times and just took friends of ours from New York there for a short weekend. Though I enjoy visiting St. Michael's, I prefer staying on Tilghman Island for the peace and quiet. This was our first stay at the Wood Duck Inn. It's an old house, nicely restored and in very good condition.... More

My wife and I had, on numerous occasions, talked about visiting the Eastern Shore of Maryland but until recently never did anything about it. However, my wife's birthday was on the 15th of November and I wanted to surprise her with something special. My daughter reminded me of my interest in St. Michaels, Maryland, so I scouted around and came... More

My partner and I had booked this vacation several months ago, and from first email with Kim, we knew we were going to love the Inn. I will admit, as the trip got closer we had hesitations of staying on Tilghman Island, fearing that we would miss not being in the heart of St. Michaels. WE WERE OH SO WRONG!!!... More

My husband and I stayed at the Wood Duck Inn and we fell in love with the Inn the minute we walked through the door. We were greeted by our hostess who gave us a tour of the Inn and took us to our suite. Our suite was exceptionally clean and rather large compared to other Inns we have stayed... More

We stayed in the Cottage, which was nice enough, and spacious. We love the Eastern Shore, and the location near the Rebecca T. Ruark was ideal. That said, we found the hosts cold and unwelcoming. While they were superficially polite, we felt the entire time as if we were an imposition on them, not as temporary friends as at many... More

My partner and I visited the Wood Duck Inn for a two night stay. We were not familiar with this part of the Eastern Shore (see my other review about the Chestertown area farther north on the Shore). Tilghman Island is very quiet. This might be good for some, but it seemed "dead" to us. The Wood Duck Inn is... More

We stayed at the Wood Duck Inn on our Wedding day. We could not have had a better experience! The suite we stayed in was absolutely charming with our very own deck and picture perfect view of the Bay. We had the privilege of having dinner with the chef and it was sensational!! We decided then that Wood Duck Inn... More

We spent a nice weekend at the Wood Duck Inn after reading the reviews here. It was a wise choice since we wanted to be on the water with no noise or hassles, yet still be close to St. Michaels. As other recent reviewers have noted, Kim and Jeff run a very relaxed inn, and the guests were all in... More

Needed a one night get-away to the Eastern Shore...we found it and then some. Laid back and extremely comfortable Inn. The breakfast and dinner was amazing and some of the best food we have had in all of our worldwide travels. Wonderful people, food and atmosphore...this says it all! More
