Just returned from an overnight for our anniversary. Stayed in the Ameila Suite which was very nice. Well-decorated, elegant bathroom, okay bed (the mattress was hard and the feather top well-past needing to be replaced), nice fireplace. Let's face it, in a hotel or inn, it's really about the bed. It's the reason I love Marriott's so much, because they've... More

I just returned from three days at the Antrim for a corporate event. The staff was superior, the food incredible and the rooms/suites were beautiful. Some of the decor shows a little wear but it does not detract from the charm and beauty. The staff even put together an impromptu lunch (for 30) when our meetings on the last day... More

I live in Columbia and was going to Ski Liberty with my husband and was looking for a place to stay after. The inn was within 20 min of the resort and with the winter special had afternoon tea, dinner, and breakfast included for 169 per person. Afternoon tea was very nice after being out in the cold all day.... More

The Antrim is a gracious country estate in sleepyTaneytown. We stayed for a weekend in January in a house adjacent to the main hotel. Our room was very comfortable with a gas fireplace, TV, free wireless connection and spacious bath. A rose and chocolate on the pillow and coffee, fruit and muffins delivered to the door in the morning were... More

We live 30 miles west of Baltimore and 50 miles north of Washington D.C. We have unlimited epicurian choices that surround us from every direction. We venture into Baltimore and Washington frequently, but we always....ALWAYS....come back to Antrim for the events that are most important to us. My daughter was married there, we celebrate every Christmas Eve there, my wife... More

This is an old (1844) mansion with a large estate containing many other guesthouses on the property. The wedding onsite was truly outstanding - every detail considered and carried out. I work as a "day-of" wedding coordinator myself, and I found Lee Thompson to be the cream of the crop of coordinators I have worked with all over country. The... More

My wife, grandson, and I stayed in two different rooms in our recent visit. Both were more than adequate. The public areas were decorated in especially good taste with antique settings and oriental carpets. Antrim 1844 was a welcome change from the typical chain hotels. More

My husband and I stayed at the Antrim on Oct. 23, 2011. This was our second stay at the Antrim, our first having been in October 2008. It's an easy drive from the Washington, D.C., area and it's a beautiful place in the fall. The Antrim has a main building, The Mansion, and several outbuildings. We stayed in the Ice... More

Service was excellent. Every need, even unspoken, was met. Every detail cared for. Stayed in Reynolds in Carriage House. Good size room. Walls a little thin. Wake up tray was a light breakfast. Tea was good with sandwiches, tea, and cookies. Grounds were very nice with a small putting green that doesn't appear on their website. More

This bed and breakfast inn is a former plantation home. Very unique, full of antiques, all very authentic. Wonderful service. A very nice but pricey restaurant in basement. More
